Quantcast

Real life is already hard for me so I don't want to face any extreme hardship when watching drama.

here's some titles I've already watched

Sweet Stuffs

I prefer to watch sweet romance with healthy and mature relationship or just full of comedy without any nasty or creepy characters.

BTW  I prefer  C-drama and K-drama

Thank you :)

I'm feeling the same and have been watching more comfort type dramas lately. Hope your life becomes easier. Here's my list of Fluffy or Low Angst dramas: https://kisskh.at/list/1zyQYDg4

At the top, there are also links to other MDLer's lists of lighter dramas.

A Calm Sea and Beautiful Days with You, a very sweet story of two people in an arranged marriage whose main obstacle is overthinking in trying to be considerate of one another. Simple and heartwarming.

My Sweet Mobster, a romcom with an ex-mobster and a children's entertainer. It's silly and cheesy, but I enjoyed watching the tough guy become smitten.

Road Home, a gentle love story between two people whose friends and family were against their relationship.

Touch Your Heart, a romcom that encompasses most K-drama cliches, but Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na made them endearing.

The Undateables, a romcom with no noble idiocy. Instead, the couple held hands and said they'd get through things together. I liked it much more than other MDLers.

The above are al K-and C-dramas with the exception of A Calm Sea, which is Japanese.

For comedy, try Welcome to Waikiki and Modern Farmer. Comedy isn't my favorite genre, but both these had heart to them, too.

Seems like you already watch a lot, maybe:

Sweet Sensory (Thai PBS) is gently and lovely - friendship, almost found family and food. 8 50-minute episodes. Direct links in comments on the title's page.

Good wishes for all the difficult things <3

Thank you for all your replies :)

There's a few I haven't watched yet

Thank you for the reply bojojoti :)

And thanks for the list too, I might start there, I don't particulary evade J-drama

I've watched a lot of J-drama since 2005 till around 2016, and stopped watching them when a lot of new faces appear and the old ones disappear.

Yes I've watched tale of nine tailed a few years back, but I don't know I just didn't have have any special feeling watching that. Maybe my mood was in different mode when watching it.

And thank you for the warning about The Sound of Your Heart I don't mind dirty jokes as long its not racist

You're welcome. Let me know if you enjoy it and I'll suggest other series. I watch Thai (and not much else) because their stories are usually good for people taking care of each other. They also tend to mitigate stress rather than pile it on episode after episode like the K-drama and C-drama roller coasters. It works better for me.

For movies, look for Teacher's Diary, My Boo (gentle love story wrapped in comedy with gag-prop "horror" and a FL whose scary face is like a kitten trying to roar), Suddenly Twenty.

Everyone Loves Me (the FL is so funny!)
The Potato Lab (really funny)
I'm Not a Robot (very sweet and funny)
You Are My Glory (sweet and mature!))
Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo (funny and sweet)

Hear me:our summer (sooo sweet and funny ending) -kmovie

Love reset (romcom) -kmovie

Be with you (sad,funny,cute) -kmovie

When life gives you tangerines (sooo goood anddd soo cutee)

  • Hometown cha cha

  • Spring fever

  • Pump up the healthy love

  • Marry you
