male lead is brutally rejected by female lead and doesn't take it well

I get annoyed when a guy just accepts it so quickly and wants to continue to be friends after the girl brutally rejects him. Are there any stories where the male lead and female lead are friends, he confesses and she doesn't like him at that point so she rejects him. Maybe she likes another guy at that point. Eventually she realizes her feelings for the guy and tries to repair things and they get together.

Ok these are variations that have aspects of what you're looking for, some more some less, all of them include a girl that rejects a guy at some point and he doesn't just take it quietly, but keeps on trying or goes mad in one way or another.
