Quantcast

Hi Everyone!

I’m looking for dramas (can be Chinese, Korean, Thai etc) with the following elements:

- ML and FL are on opposite sides of a conflict (e.g. families keep them apart or from different worlds or tribes, examples like The Princess’ Man or Ashes of Love. Something romeo and Juliet like but without the ending tragedy

- Has to have a happy ending

- Love triangles are a bonus, especially 2 females 1 male, but not essential

- I quite like fantasy and history romance, but can be modern too.

As a side note I’m trying to remember that name of a drama that I watched ages ago but can’t remember the name of- where the ML disappears from the FL but than comes back and she recognised him, but he didn’t recognise her (or pretends not too). If anyone can remember than the name of a drama like that would be helpful.

Thank you in advance for suggestions!

Fit:

  • Lost Love in Times (fits the description of the specific drama you're trying to remember too) - the ML is a prince and the FL is a sorceress and the sorcerers are forbidden from having relationships with the royal family (and then when they ignore that rule and terrible things happen, the FL uses her powers to reset the timeline but to avoid the same outcome happening again she has to avoid falling into a romantic relationship with the ML again. He can't remember her in the new timeline so she has to deal with / hide her feelings on her own and it's forbidden love all over again). It is a Chinese historical fantasy and romance drama, it has multiple love triangles (both F/M/F and M/F/M), and it has a happy ending.
  • Crash Landing on You - The ML is a captain in the North Korean army and the FL is a wealthy South Korean CEO. So they're from two sides of a literal conflict, but also very different worlds (one caveat: the ML is the son of a powerful politician and he studied music in Switzerland, so he group up in a relatively privileged situation).  There are Romeo and Juliet vibes, it's a romance drama, and there's a F/M/F love triangle. It's a modern day Korean romance drama and it has a happy ending.

Sort of fit:

  • The Princess Wei Young - The FL is a princess of a small kingdom neighboured by a powerful kingdom. Her entire family is killed by a general (and his army) from the powerful neighbouring kingdom, which takes over her kingdom. The ML is the grandson of the Emperor of the powerful kingdom, and the FL believes that the Emperor ordered the general to kill her family and take over her kingdom. It's a Chinese historical romance drama and the ending is not happy but also not a horrible tragic bloodbath. It's bittersweet and I found it very satisfying.
  • The Imperial Doctress - The FL marries the ML's relative (half brother I think?) who is his main rival for / challenger to the throne fairly early on in the drama. If there was a SFL I don't remember her. It's more of a reverse-harem dynamic. It's a Chinese historical / medical romance drama. The ML and FL have a somewhat open-ended but essentially happy ending in the very, very end

What you're talking about, it could be My Secret Romance or maybe not because in this the female leaves (it was a one-night stand situation).

Thank you everyone,  I will check out your suggestions :)
