Quantcast

I want a idol drama/drama with young characters where female lead is kinda mature:

Where’s what I mean by mature-minded (not to be offensive or smth)

- smart and thinks ahead/considers consequences

- is confident about oneself but doesn’t go around picking fights or do immature stuff to embarrass oneself

- isn’t flustered easily & can think Rationally in distress as well as love ... if any.

- has real life goals which doesn’t include chasing the ML to end of world.

By young character I mean =<30y of age.

Don’t care about ml but bonus if he ain’t annoying.

NO AGE GAP LEADS PLZ

Examples:

Young Blood: Zhao Jian

Nirvana in Fire 2: Lin Xi (I think she was less than 30)

Girl K also works I guess

Any country/genre goes

Idol Drama (apparently I don't watch these much):

  • He is Psychometric
  • My Mister
  • A-Teen (from what little I remember)

Other Dramas on the top of my head:

  • Story of Ming Lan (sorry if you're not into historicals, this is looong)
  • Princess Agents
  • Lawless Attorney
  • 3 Will be Free ( poly-amorous but I loved this)
  • Graceful Family- it makes fun of typical kdrama melodrama, kind of an ironic drama...
  • Extracurricular
  • Arsenal Military Academy- might get a bit long-winded
  • Story of Yanxi Palace
  • Her Private Life- kinda fluffy
  • Rookie Agent Rouge- maybe a bit innocent but she is badass
  • Legend of Fuyao
  • Fight for My Way- (she doesn't take any BS)
  • Vagabond
  • Healer (again can't remember much, I mean she gets herself in trouble at the beginning??)
  • Miss Hammurabi (can't remember much TBH but she's independent)
  • Medical Examiner Dr Xin (just implied romance I'm afraid)

*favs in bold

Big Issue...this one recommendation is maybe exactly what you are looking for. Try it and see for yourself.

  • The Great Seducer
  • Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung
  • While You Were Sleeping

Meets your criteria but has a significant age gap (I find some age gaps to be a major turn off - e.g. in Goblin - but I was generally able to enjoy these dramas):

  • My Mister (as mentioned above)  - You can choose to view their relationship as not romantic, which is how I viewed it
  • Mr. Sunshine - Basically no skinship and the ML and FL don't end up together in the end due to a tragedy
  • Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo - The age gap isn't too obvious and the FL leaves the ML in the end
  • The Rise of Phoenixes - The age gap isn't too obvious and the ML and FL don't end up together in the end due to a tragedy
