Quantcast

I recently watched Princess agents and I believe that show is the reason I find almost everything I watch to be not interesting lol. I enjoyed it a lot...Are there any Chinese dramas like Princess Agents that give you the same sort of 'thrill' or excited feeling? I would like it to have romance as well

Ok in the Princess Agents kickass way:

  • Legend of Fuyao (this will help you with the PA hangover, can't remember the ending so be warned, its got the whole hidden identity & training montage & kickass-ness down)
  • Empress Ki, I actually got a bit overwhelmed with the plot but it's not boring, the FL takes no BS and has a great sense of right/wrong like Chu Qiao... she's badass too.
  • Eternal Love, I actually got a bit tired of the twists in this show, more fantasy than PA but honestly everyone raves about this show... kickass FL, battle scenes etc.
  • Nirvana in Fire same as eternal love, I haven't actually watched this yet as I know it ends in heartbreak but everyone raves about this show.
  • Gu Family Book, kickass FL... once again a bit more fantasy than PA...
  • Mr Sunshine- A more modern-historical set during the Japanese invasion of Korea... FL is a bad-ass, ML questions his true political stance like ML of PA...

In a clever way:

  • Story of Ming Lan- Same actress as Chu Qiao in PA, and honestly is a quiet/shy FL initially... but can she outwit anybody. Honestly, no, this plot isn't fast-paced and I'm actually double-thinking this rec,  the romance is incredibly slow-burn and there's a drag mid-way. But damn, this is my fav. Historical Drama.

Nirvana in Fire

is perfect if you are looking for INTERESTING shows

I feel this in my SOUL.

I would suggest:

  1. The Flame's Daughter
  2. Rookie Agent Rogue
  3. Sound of the Desert
  4. The Princess Wei Young
  5. Bloody Romance
  6. Legend of Ming Lan (my ultimate FAV historical drama, but not everyone's cup of tea and a very "slice of life" slow building drama)

Thank you for your suggestions, I have watched Legend of Fuyao and really enjoyed it, And I have also watched Eternal Love, I get what you mean with getting tired  of the twists in the show, I also got tired of them too but still liked the show, I will give the other ones you suggested a try, thank you!

I've watched 'The princess Weiyoung' I loved how clever and sensible she was, I just didn't like when she got accused of killing the ML's mother and how he didn't trust her, also how she kept getting trampled on by everyone other wise it was pretty enjoyable for me.

I will give the other one's a try too, 'Legend of Ming Lan' has been recommended to me quite a lot, seems I will have to watch it soon...

I have been putting off watching 'Bloody romance' ...I mean you would think after 'Princess agent's ending I would be able to watch anything but I've been putting off because of the sad ending lol...Is it really good, I see a lot of mixed reactions to it?

As for 'sound of the desert' I haven't watched it because of the date it was made, I like to watch newer dramas, I don't like watching bad effects/cgi ...when you watch it can you tell it's not a newly made drama?

I went through the same with Princess Agents, it's unique

They're different but I would add

Good Bye, My Princess
