Quantcast

I want to watch something different and I've never seen a drama where the main lead choose friendship over love. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you

edit: woops just saw it said k-drama.  Either way, it's still an option :P

No worries, I prefer if it's K-drama but I'm okay with j-drama and other ones too :) Thank you

For both of these dramas it's probably more accurate to say that the FL chose her own wellbeing over an unhealthy romantic relationship:

  • Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo - the FL chooses to leave the ML to live with ("marry", but only as a matter of convenience to escape from the palace and the ML) the ML's half brother. Although the ML has unrequited feelings for the FL, she is unaware of his feelings and views him as a good friend. He accompanies her through her pregnancy, birth, illness, and death.
  • Misty - the FL chooses to devote her energy to her work rather than trusting or committing emotionally to a romantic relationship with any of her three love interests. It's definitely a big stretch to say she chooses friendship over love, but her relationships with the people she works with (both her superiors and her subordinates) are deeper and more meaningful than her relationships with her romantic interests.

Thank you very much! I will add them to my list :)

The only drama I can think of is The King in Love.

For this type of request, I can only remember mystery thrillers whose partners has great chemistry like...

Forest of Secrets (Season 2 is coming and this time, I wish we get something more than friendship out of them.)

Children of lesser God

Confession

Life on Mars
