Romance-Heavy EPIC Historical, please?

So, I've seen a LOT of historicals and enjoy a ton of variation, but I haven't found anything new/amazing to watch in a super long time. Can someone help me out? I LOVE a good historical and prefer Chinese historicals over Korean historicals, though I'm open to any, even Thai and so on. 

• Romance has to be center of story/heavy in the story
• Prefer a more mature romance and serious tone in the drama, I'm not a historical romcom kind of girl.
• My ultimate favs are: The Story of Ming Lan, Princess Agents, The Legend of Yun Xi, The Rise of the Phoenixes, Sound of the Desert, The Legend of Lu Zhen, The Imperial Doctress, Rookie Agent Rogue (an exception to my normal tastes) The Flame's Daughter, Mr. Sunshine, Dong Yi.... and I've watched tons of others. 
• I'm OK with fantasy, but it's not my first choice. 
• Things that are not my usual cup of tea: comedy/romcom, BL, zero romance, detective stuff, though exceptions occur sometimes. 

UGH. I don't know. I just want a GREAT story, fabulous acting, a sizzling chemistry between leads, and a satisfying ending. Is that too much??? LOL

It looks like you haven't watched the second season of The Eternal Love yet. If you liked the first season you'll likely enjoy the second season too. 

I also see that the The Tale of Nokdu,  The Princess's Man, The King in Love and The Untamed are already in your PTW list. Those each have some of what you're looking for. Although it's older, I think The Princess' Man is probably the one that best matches what you want.

thank you! I'll have to do a rewatch of Eternal Love S1 and then try Season 2 for sure. I'll give Princess's Man a try next! :D

My mom watched Glory of Tang and loved it, said it is a very good romance and she is a history buff too so it all came together for her. I didn't watch it bc its 1+2 adds up to 90 episodes it is really hard for me to make the time for that at the moment.
