sorry if my wording is complicated... so basically most japanese movies that i've watched that involve romance have either been shoujo manga adaptations or have had incredibly tragic endings, so i'm looking for something that's in the middle i guess?

basically, i'm not looking for a rom-com, and i don't want something that's too heavy either. so any romance movie that doesn't fit those two descriptions, or any other genre of movie with some romance. the romance in question can be incredibly subtle too! but i would like to see a happy ending (where they actually end up with each other) please. open ended endings that hint something positive are ok too!

i'm thinking of something like the movie evergreen love.  or like... a movie with indie vibes if that makes sense? big plus if nature/pretty scenery is involved.

i'm basically looking for a relaxing movie to watch with a happy ending for the two leads. it doesn't have to have a specific kind of plot, just one i can watch and relax.

i want it to be japanese just because i'm trying to practice the language so i'm trying to watch movies without subtitles. but if you know any movies that fit this description from other countries please feel free to rec those!

IDK if it's what you're looking for, but maybe A Gentle Breeze in the Village? It's a slice of life about a group of kids in the village, not romance, but there is a first-love subplot between two of the older kids that I thought was pretty cute.

A word of caution, though. Since it's a slice of life, some people might find it more boring than relaxing.
