As the title states, what are some of your favorite rom-coms that have heavy comedy elements?  Maybe even a pure comedy series would be fine.

I liked Your Highness  as a pure comedy series. And would recommend  Young Blood  too, but this is not a rom-com nor a pure comedy series, just that it has many funny scenes here and there throughout the series.

Comedy is VERY subjective - what one person finds hilarious another finds unwatchable. For example, Many rave about Eulalacha Waikiki as a very funny romcom. I found it as funny as pulling out my own teeth, and dropped it after one excruciatingly painful episode. My favourite comedy romcom is Date  - which many find agonisingly unfunny. Those are two very different options, perhaps one or both of them may fit your personal sense of humour.

It may be subjective, but there is usually a general consensus on whether people find something funny.  That is the point of posting in a recommendation where you can see if certain titles are brought up multiple times.  Obviously, everything you recommend to someone is going to be subjective.

In relation to this post, I have a few family members that generally only watch comedies, so I decided to see what most people found funny in drama land to see if any of them can get into said dramas.

Some purely comedy ones I enjoyed are-

Laughter in Waiki (Both seasons)

Sound of your heart

Some rom coms with enough comedy-

Strong woman do bong soon

My lovely Kim sam soon

She was pretty

Marriage not dating

Fiery priest

Birth of a beauty

Master's Sun

Beautiful Gong Shim

Girl who sees smells

History of a salary man

My old time favorite in this category is Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo .
If you watch this drama you won't regret it, it's the best rom-com out there.

Your watchlist is impressive! My recs are already on your list (Shopping King Louie, Chief Kim & others).

As for not on your watchlist ...

I'm currently watching Hello Again , which is an over-the-top ridiculous Taiwanese rom-com. It consistently pokes fun at multiple drama tropes & when you've seen enough dramas, you recognize them all! The ML's facial expressions are hysterical. However, it's a slow watch for me due to its craziness.
