Chinese / Taiwanese Dramas - where to start?

Hi there! 

I'm in love with Korean dramas but I really want to branch out and start watching C/T dramas too. I just don't know where to start - there are so many of them!  I did try to watch one (don't really remember the title of it) a while ago and I didn't like it because the acting was really unsatisfactory to say the least. 

Can somebody remommend me some titles to watch? I'm really into romance mixed with elements of comedy.

Maybe ease yourself into cdrama and Tdramas with movies first, highly recommend:

• Our Times
• Suddenly Seventeen
• Secret that cannot be told

But for dramas, maybe check out, though comedy is probably differently achieved in these drama but they are all light stories:

• Drunken to Love You (taiwan) 
• Go go squid (China) 
• Love O2O +1

There are a few that I remember of the top of my head and think would be a great place to start:

A Love so Beautiful - This one is a really cute romantic drama with a high rating and is also available on Youtube. This is one my favourite Cdramas :)

Love020 - This one is a classic and many fans began their Cdrama journey with this one. If you want to watch a show without any unnecessary drama, evil characters or love triangles then this one is a good one to watch.

Go Go Squid - This one was a big hit among Cdrama fans last year and is kinda similar to Love020.

 Eternal Love ( Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms) - If you are into historical dramas then this one was a massive hit in China and also internationally. This one is definitely a little lengthy and has a bit of a serious plot. 

Put Your Head on My Shoulders - Another sweet romantic drama. The plot is somewhat similar to A Love So Beautiful (not a lot but a little bit for sure).

Le Coup de Foudre (C) - this one gets extra points for apparently being semi-autobiographical. :) 

And for an old classic, It Started With a Kiss/They Kiss Again - Ariel & Jo's awesome chemistry elevating a nondescript storyline

may i added some romcom chinese drama :

1. Ashes of love (2018):

 The female lead same with the female lead in go go squid, if you love her act you can watch this drama also. 

the drama setting is fantasy on take diety realm. the female lead is so funny and likeable. but there is the characters development in this drama and there are many plot twist. i love the couple most. it because chemistry of male lead and female lead is superb on screen or off screen. this drama is so beautiful because it tell the greatest love ever :D

2. i've fallen for you (2020) : 

the female lead is also funny and likeable. it is historical drama. the story is light and funny but also sweet.  there is more than 1 couple in this drama, and i love all of couple. because they are so sweet :)

3. best of you in my mind (2020)

this drama is modern drama. it also tell about archery. the drama tell about two old friend who always together.  but i think is different from other drama. i love this drama so much. some times i cry because happy or sad. there is more than 1 couple in this drama, and i love all of couple. because they are so sweet :)
