• Serial killers in ROM COM •
Strong Woman Do Bong Soon (You'll literally die each episode to see who the pscyco he is.)
Girl who sees smells (Very handsome serial killer indeed)
• Serial killers in Mystery/thrillers •
Signal (One I still remember, who killed people by covering their faces with black plastic bin, that was the scariest and yet I somehow pitied him.
The famous Korean History serial killer (Hawseong serial murder case) was also present in the beginning episodes, very curiously wrapped up in cold case.)
Life On Mars (Whole drama you'll only keep wondering about who he is, when you'll get to know, then also, your curiosity never ends at his smartness.
That Manicure serial murder cases killer.)
Tunnel (Once again, famous Hwaseong Murder cases mentioned here.)
Missing Noir (Most interesting serial murder case present in the beginning, guess who the killer is.
Also, this one focused I think two episodes on teenag serial killers too.)
Children of lesser God (This one has depressing shit going on but it's intriguing.)
Pied Piper (Not exactly a serial killer, but he controls many Innocent people and makes them commit crimes)
• Serial Killers in Crime/Comedy•
Pscycopath diary (More on a black comedy side, where a man who loses his memory thinks he's the serial killer himself because the real killer's diary comes to be in his possession due to the many reasons. Lol. This was one was hilarious yet dad and scary.)
Team BullDog: Off Duty Investigation (One of the really interesting serial killers I got to watch this year in this drama, it was equally funny and mysterious.
I had goosebumps towards the end because of the ruthlessness and how humans are being killed and scratched at like a paper. Really, was so nerve wrecking.
Some names of the killer in it were-
Box cutter serial murder cases
Butterfly murder cases
Alleyway murder cases (maybe this was the name, I can't quite remember properly.)
Queen of Mystery (Watched it a long time ago, but I remember there was really weirdly interesting serial killer there too.)
Kill it. (Wasn't really a serial killer, but was actually a contact killer. He happened to be hero here. Actually starts liking the female lead who was a police officer. But sadly, it has sad ending. Literally.)
• Also, some honorable mentions •
Strangers from hell (I read there is really horrendous serial killer there, but I didn't watch it mainly because it has some of the really disturbing scenes with a warning.)
Extracurricular (Focuses, mainly on teenage serial killers, it's even called Korean Remake of 13 reasons why. It's really on a spiritual level, with it's own uniqueness in the genre.)
Voice (All the seasons, didn't get to watch it yet, time restraints, but it has really really good reviews and that too, it's called more praised in the genre. Would love to watch someday. But not in this depressing quarantine.)
PS: For so many years, I've been watching so many serial killers here and there, even in my MBBS, I'm more interested in Forensic Criminology, they always make me curious about them. I want to study their character, if I ever get that chance someday.
