Quantcast

So I have an awful habit of starting dramas, but not finishing them. I have also got some dramas which I didn't really like when beginning... but clips/comments make me want to restart them.

So if you have a moment, I've created a voting list from which could you please vote your favourite dramas... and I'll start going down the list(feel free to add any from my On Hold etc. if you can be bothered to stalk my watchlist) Thank You!! :)

I know EXACTLY what you mean! I have this habit too. If you see my Drama list, I haven´t watched a lot of dramas till the end, but I have a lot of dramas on my On Hold list...

I would recommend to give a 2. chance to these dramas, that you have on your On Hold list:

  • Reply 1988 (the find the husband game is whatever for me, but love the friendships and familial relationships)
  • Sky Castle (ending is disappointing, but worth it for the acting; sensationalized look into high society and Korea's grades/school-obsessed culture)
  • Eulachacha Waikiki (I enjoyed, but the humor doesn't work for everyone)
  • Nirvana in Fire (still my favorite cdrama; please watch to at least episode 20 but hopefully you'll like it before then; character guide since the beginning can be confusing with all the different names - https://lesbloggerables.tumblr.com/post/157788020760/nirvana-in-fire-character-guide)
  • Battle of Changsha (on my watch list as well and it tends to be highly recommended, but need to be prepared for the waterworks)

I think watching dramas at the right time is important. If I'm not in the mood for something, I can't watch it even if the drama is objectively amazing.

hahahaaa yes!! I guess I have a short attention-span if it doesn't grab me, I'm not in the right mood... or just stop watching a drama for a while hehe. I remember feeling really refreshed with the unusual FL in Cinderella's sister so I'm glad you've reminded me :)

I actually re-started Reply 1988 while it was 1) and maybe its because I'm a different person from a few years ago... or because I'm still a bit stuck indoors, but it's adorable and I love the unique-ness of the families etc. I feel like the longer you watch dramas, the more you like/appreciate the good ones... now I need to go back and find the gems I got bored of when I was starting out hehe :) x

hahaha I've watched The Story of Ming Lan, which has such slow development... I'll definitely try to stick it out for Nirvana in fire :)

And yes... I am LOVING Reply 1988 , but I agree- the reflections of the couple later seems a bit colourless (but I also love the nostalgia it gives, it really makes the drama)

Thank you!! And yes 100% mood makes or breaks x

I've voted already, but will change them if you decide to add the following dramas from your On-Hold list:

Khun Mae Suam Roy
The Last Empress- I don't know how far you got with this one since you didn't indicate it.
My Strange Hero
Leverage
Live Up to Your Name
My Holo Love- Don't know how far you got with this one either.
The Romance of Hua Rong- You need to continue on watching. I was about to drop this drama but the writer saved it by episode 4/5.
Deep in My Heart
Cambrian Period

Oh wow! To be honest I can barely remember starting some of these. For The Last Empress, I got bored waiting for the character development. My Holo Love felt sort of overdone- like My Absolute Boyfriend. And I'll put The Romance of Hua Rong back on to stick it out for a bit longer hehe same with My Strange Hero & Cambrian Period.

Looking at that list, it seems we have similar tastes in terms of what we don't enjoy :) The only one I might suggest is My Strange Hero, which wasn't awful. Generally speaking though, if a Drama doesn't grab you, I'd say it's best to move on and try another - life is short, and there are way too many Dramas to choose from :D

Hello again, I'm sorry about earlier... I'm mostly having a bit of an On Hold clear-out. It's been a couple of years since I watched some of these dramas. I've already watched Reply 1988 which was so good, but I'm not going to watch or try anything again I felt was tedious and especially overdone storyline the first time... I should probably start actually dropping those dramas huh. And thank you hehe :)

Hahaha, I know I picked a lot from your on-hold list but these are the dramas I've enjoyed the most. Let me know if you are looking for happy endings right now because two of these dramas don't have one.
