Chun Mo Rionnag:

Oh, I forgot "Moonlight Chicken" (2023) one of the MLs is nearing 40. But, you've watched that, too, right?

yeah, actually that one reignited the want for more lol

  • Have you seen To Sir, With Love (Thailand, 2022)? It's labeled Historical, Romance, Drama, set in the 1930s and 1940s, a bit melodramatic (mainly the first and second wives) and there's an element of fantasy (with the herbs, poisons).
  • Plus & Minus (Taiwan, 2022) Late 20s actors
  • Advance Bravely (China, 2017) Actors were 26 and 29. Unfinished BL due to censorship. 30 episodes available in Viki, but I watched on Bilibili which was a better viewing experience. It included their inner thoughts, unspoken feelings, interactions (hugs, feeding each other) that Viki excluded. Great chemistry between the leads.
  • Be Loved in House: I Do (Taiwan, 2021) Actors were 24 and 28. Boss-employee relationship.

This comment is wildly late for responding to this post, but Twilight’s Kiss (2019, Hong Kong) is refreshing if you’re tired of all the BL and queer media being about young people. It may not be what you had in mind, since the leads are in their seventies. It’s queer media rather than BL as far as style goes. Worth a watch.
