I'm glad to see all kinds of character development

  • Battle of Changsha: I see that this is on your Plan to Watch list. The two main characters, twin siblings, both grow by leaps and bounds from silly kids to mature adults by the end of the show.
  • Look Tard : The male lead gains an education and pulls himself out of slavery.
  • Nagi no Oitoma: A woman tries to reinvent her life over the course of a summer.
  • Natsuzora: It's a long show, but there is plenty of character growth, particularly for the main character since it follows a significant portion of her life. A girl who is adopted by a farmer after WWII goes on to become an early Japanese animator.
  • Tokyo Joshi Zukan: The main female lead is a pretty morally gray character, but the story follows her career growth and she also grows a lot as a person throughout the show.

Thank you for your recommendations .

I was afraid of watching  Battle of Changsha so I have questions . who has personal growth of the leads ? does it has any secret identity like bridal mask or disguiser ?  happy or sad ending ?

The two twins have the most character growth in the series. The girl twin is the main female lead and the boy twin would probably be  considered a second male lead. I don't remember there being any secret identities. I'm going to hide the ending so I don't spoil it for anyone who doesn't want to know: The ending is happy for the main couple but sad in general since it it set during the second Sino-Japanese War.
