I watched this mainland Chinese drama a while back, but I can't remember the name of it at all.
It's set in the 1930s in China, I think. Like, everyone is still dressed in semi-traditional clothing but they have cars and stuff.

It's about this girl who falls in love with a guy and they have a child, but the girl doesn't know that the guy is actually a the son of a rich, powerful old lady who lives in this fancy palace-ish place. When the family finds out, they try to take the guy back and they end up running away or something. They end up hurting the girl, taking the guy back (I think?) and somehow end up with the son too. Meanwhile, the guy goes back, and it flashes back to the present time. A lot of stuff happens...the girl became a teacher, and already started a new life. She went into the old-lady's home as a governess and becomes the little boy's teacher, not knowing that he's actually her son. And then, the guy discovers who she really is, but the girl doesn't really want to repeat their relationship because she wants to protect herself. And then there's some stuff about the policeman being evil, and there being some kind of treasure in the old lady's palace that she wants to find, and also the old lady's right hand man was also her former lover and the main guy's dad. In the end, the main guy dies from being shot by the policeman and the girl cries with her newly reconciled son. The drama ends with the old lady staring creepily at her treasure. Somewhere in there another rival girl is involved, but I can't remember exactly what happens.

Yeah, sorry for the confusing summary...I watched this drama years ago.
Never mind, I think I found it.

Someone can lock this post.
Out of curiosity, what did it end up being called?
