One of the vey, very few things I can find fault with on MDL...
With so many of us watching dramas on YouTube channels, etcetera, isn't the Music category both irrelevant and unfair? How many users are actually accessing the OST.? What most of us are getting has nothing to do with the drama. Don't know about the approved sources. IMO, this category completely nullifies any MDL ratings?
At best we can rate the category based on whether or not the music soundtrack replaces or otherwise disrupts dialogue and /or subtitles. A low Music rating likely means someone was really annoyed. My solution is to always assign a 10, which is likely to scew any final rating?
Suggestions:
Eliminate the Music category entirely or...
Make the rating optional. Make it possible to skip that entry.
Post a disclaimer stating that due to special circumstances MDL ratings may be based on altered material and not the dramas originally released. Or some such.
Any choice is likely to be a really bad time for MDL staff? No idea how previous ratings would be affected. Might just be best to go with #3. Maybe the "Overall" rating choice helps to offset the problem?
