Bigger Block List

this function is DESPERATELY needed!

While it hasn't been mentioned in this thread, I don't think. I do recall one of the admins saying somewhere else that they don't have the infrastructure (server capacity, or whatever) to implement unlimited block lists. So I'm not sure we'll see it happen tbqh.

We increased from 30 to 100 few months ago.

Every time you load a page, the system has to check who you’ve blocked and who has blocked you, then hide that content before showing the rest. When thousands of people are doing this at once, it puts a lot of strain on the system and can slow things down or cause issues

Lol yeah and I've already reached the limit again unfortunately. I get there are infrastructure issues, doesn't make it suck any less to have to remember why I blocked a person and whether it's safe to remove them in order to block a new person *shrug*. I'm liberal with my blocks cause I'm here to enjoy dramas, lol.

I mentioned notes on blocklists before as a helpful feature to aid in this decision making process but even if it showed the last time a user was online would be useful. Like "oh this person hasn't been active in a year, I can chuck them".

If unlimited blocklists aren't currently feasible then additions to the current blocklist features would definitely be appreciated so we can make informed decisions.

Just curious, what are the reasons people are blocking others? I had instances where I argued with people over them ruthlessly attacking actor/actress for whatever reasons, nothing constructive either. It's like a negative cycle so blocking is something I just discovered just recently.

Personally I block people if they have personally attacked me with insults or spread hateful comments on drama pages (might also report them, if they violated MDL's rules). Also users who hate on certain drama tropes and post their comments under dramas with those tropes, for example infidelity or age gap. Blocking them is the easiest way to stay away from their nonsense.
