Karma Points Shop

Recently I noticed Karma points exist, however, they don’t seem to have a purpose at all. Is it possible to create a shop where we can redeem the points for some amazing stuff?  I think the members and staff can come up with pleasant ideas to exchange the points with.

For example, it would be great if we can purchase a flag next to our name. Just like the verification icon.

I don't get the purpose of karma points either, but maybe if we have enough we could use that as an alternative to have a checkmark/verified status next to our name besides verifying through phone numbers?

I found out recently that we gotten Karma points because of our feed posts.
