Requesting action against harassment and bullying

Busy forum administrators, I apologise for needing to report a specific MDL user I have never interacted with. She made standalone posts and replies to target me repeatedly within 48 hours while instigating others to attack me, using a pattern of conduct and words being clearly constituted as bullying and harassment. She instructed other MDL users to go after me, on a separate MDL fanpage. She can be seen giving instructions and telling others what to do. The user targeting me is CC_, and her profile is here: https://kisskh.at/profile/8239923

She has incited MDL users such as Xu Yi (https://kisskh.at/profile/xuyi-hmh) and SpringMist (https://kisskh.at/profile/4343434) to go after me.

CC_ made the first standalone post here on the Key To The Phoenix Heart drama page which is irrelevant to the drama but basically makes it clear she wants me to shut up: https://kisskh.at/790870-que-gu#comment-23311862

“Sure you can go and advocate about your underage girly who is actually riding HMH's coattails for this drama to even be approved by the platform.” And “The least this AM advocatee can do here is lie low with her sensitive age tag but no, you just have to drag and spew nonsense to HMH. The disrespect will not be tolerated!” are some of the comments she has made there.

I have shared BTS materials on that page for the drama and various actors and actresses, more than only the male lead and female lead. I have been minding my own business when I reply to one user that I interact with, and this vitriol of bullying and harassment is completely surprising to me because I am not a Neo Hou fan or Ai Mi fan. I civilly objected to the Director, Screenwriter and Producer of the drama being called groomers and pedophiles by another MDL user because such a comment is baseless and illogical here (https://kisskh.at/790870-que-gu#comment-23164352), and CC_ doesn’t agree with me as evinced in her recent hostile comments at me.

Within 20 minutes of CC_’s first standalone post targeting me, I got attacked on the same drama page elsewhere by Springmist and Xu Yi. These users are all fans of the same actor. I have never interacted with Springmist. I only had one prior civil interaction with Xu Yi (https://kisskh.at/790870-que-gu#comment-22818050).

CC_ is not only making an irrelevant post on the KTTPH drama page; she also wants to make sure I know she thinks what I say is garbage, with personal attacks such as “For sure, you will go and give me your 10 paragraph essays full of garbage again and I will be not reading all that and waste my time.”

After I read that standalone post and civilly asked CC_ why she was doing this (https://kisskh.at/790870-que-gu#comment-23313254 ), CC_ ignored my reply and continued to insult me, by editing her comment to state:

“Edit: Pack it up guys the delusional account did not let me down with her nonsense lengthy essay! And please not the account saying thanks that I read her crappy essays. How gullible.”

I made a second civil reply to her initial comment wishing her a good day, and then I blocked CC_, because nobody needs to be subjected to insults, bullying and harassment.

CC_ also included an obvious threat inside this second standalone comment targeting me, also stating “If you still dare to yap this kind of nonsense, don't blame me.“ She has made it clear she will not hesitate to encourage other MDL users to also abuse the freedom of the MDL website to try and intimidate whoever she thinks is not worthy off the website.

CC_ disregards the statements at the top of every page which conveys “kisskh is a space for respectful and thoughtful discussion. Harassment, hate speech, personal attacks, and inappropriate language are not allowed and may result in content removal or account action. Please keep things kind and civil.”

 All the above is within the past 48 hours. In general terms, a legal definition of harassment pertains to unwanted conduct, words, or actions that create an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment, and relevant in such terms to violate a person's dignity, or cause them substantial emotional distress, alarm, or humiliation. In short, a course of conduct or action that involves threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviours.

CC’s behaviour adheres to these definitions with her pattern of words and choices over the past 48 hours. She mocks and insults me if I block her, mocks me and insults me if  I unblock her and reply civilly to her, and insults me with personal attacks via standalone irrelevant posts on a drama page. Is it acceptable for an MDL user to issue threats at an MDL user, especially when I have never interacted with her and I have been civil and polite?

“If you still dare to yap this kind of nonsense, don't blame me.“ - I find this threat to be unacceptable from CC_ , which means if I say anything that she may not like, she'll do worse than what she did to me. 

Xu Yi agreed to work with CC_ to target me without reasonable grounds. I request that action be taken against both accounts, especially CC_ whom I have never interacted with before.

It is a fact that I have never interacted with certain MDL users or had one civil short interaction, before being attacked in what is clearly a co-ordinated attempt to drive me off the page and this website. I was never approached via DMs or any other means, except when this group attempt to harass me was launched.

The original standalone posts attacking me on the KTTPH page by CC_ are vicious, unprovoked and clearly intended to distress and intimidate me. All her comments to me within 48 hours and to her followers demonstrate her true colours.

Grandstanding announcement on a drama page telling someone what they write is garbage and then "lolling" about it in replies is unacceptable. What is most unacceptable are the threats in the second standalone post. Mocking someone for blocking someone, followed by the implications of stalking, monitoring and using DMs plus MDL users to go after someone is unacceptable.

I still have ways to know if you@/Xiang83 are spreading such nonsense and delusions about HMH. If you still dare to yap this kind of nonsense, don't blame me. And of course, she will again police everyone here who question's the FL's age with this romantic role. ]

If I block, I am mocked by her on the drama page. If I unblock to ask her, I am mocked by her on the drama page. She has no shame about her public behaviour. This infantile behaviour is unacceptable. I will not be engaging people with parasocial relationships.

CC_ may have missed all the random comments that kept taking potshots at the FL which I haven't paid attention to. A drama page is not a fan page. I would like to point out that it is serious libel to paint someone as a groomer and pedophile. Just because you are unhappy with the choice of FL being cast does not equate to everyone else such as the Director, Screenwriter and Producer as "groomers" and "pedophiles". While CC_ was mocking me, she also took time to let me know I "blindly defended" these individuals who are only doing their job.

Based on her two original posts, CC_ has inflicted the following against me within 48 hours with behaviour clearly meant to intimidate me and distress me: Personal attacks, threats, stalking, and instigating others to perpetuate intimidating behaviours by inciting other MDL users I have never interacted with or barely interacted with to go after me and monitor me.

This is a severe case of harassment and bullying. This is also confirmed by the gloating and discussions on the fan page led by CC_ and other MDL users.

Administrators need to do something about this, should someone email you screenshots and links.

The specific definitions of harassment will vary by specific jurisdiction. I believe MDL should enforce specific actions against such accounts plus accounts which engage in targeted harassment and bullying and personal attacks and are uncivil, irrespective of how long they have been using MDL.

I don't believe in blaming people. I believe people should reap fair consequences for their actions, especially when they choose to cross all the lines.  

Accounts which do all the above should be permanently banned. Accounts which engage in assisting such behaviour should be suspended for at least three months.

             Dear admin(s) who are responsible for maintaining a safe and peaceful virtual environment in this small space called MDL, I hope you take notice of @Xiang83's pleading request, and sincerely consider her matter urgent.

I do agree with the fact that people could be triggered sometimes due to our different preferences, and it's entirely reasonable to defend your beliefs or what you hold dear. But it's never ideal to take it to the extreme, to the point of making threatening comments.

We come here to discuss, debate and share our different opinions with fellow drama/movie watchers, and to relax. We have every right to express our thoughts. The least we all could do is to respond equally in a polite manner, to respect the other person. After all, we are all strangers here. We don't know what kind of lives each person leads, or what that person's personalities & habits are. I just hope everyone we meet here would be kind and courteous to make our days brighter, even if just a little, during our short visits to the website...

Dear acquta, thank you for your kindness. To witness joy and pleasure across more than thirty comments by more than five people, who enjoy causing and perpetuating what they believe is utmost distress and harm to someone, is never pleasant. Being stalked and threatened and given only personal insults including the above over 36 hours, despite attempting to civilly engage and understand abusers aiming to inflict maximum emotional and psychological distress? Terrible.

After you block someone, but they insist on publicly targeting you and hounding you by mocking you, insulting you and threatening you with future stalking, future harassment, plus future incitement of sending people against you without fear of violating the TOS of this website for as long as you post anywhere they can see = Malicious unrelenting abuse. Multiplied by the number of people who were gloating about all this and future harassment on another page. Across 36 hours.

My younger brother was bullied twice at school. I am staunchly against domestic violence.

This needs to be resolved, so I am finally ready to do the necessary, after coming to terms with such an emotionally harrowing experience. This forum post initiated 8 days ago has been necessary sunlight to reveal unacceptable abuse, as a start.

Bullies in school need counselling and other measures. Bullies who are adults and no longer in school need something else. When victims stay silent, other victims such as yourself suffer. I hope you received help with your experiences.
