News Page REDIRECTS WHEN I TRY TO LOG IN.

Hello. Just had a quick question. I read the articles posted in the news section but I can never comment or like a comment/article. It says log in on the right hand side of the screen but I am already logged in. When i DO hit the log in button, i get redrected to the maid mydramalist page, already signed in. I have wanted to comment on some articles and have been unable so it is frustrating. PLEASE HELP!!

Have you try to clear your cookie for the site or logout and try to login again on here?

Thanks for your response! I tried that multiple times, even trying to sign in on the news page (as opposed to using the main site). The page flashes after I enter my password etc. and nothing happens. It does not sign me in. I tried again after logging in with the main page, same proble. shows me logged out and redirects...

It’s really odd. What browser and operating system are you using? Could you try to download our app and login from there?

I am using Firefox on Microsoft. I even turned off my ublock in case that was preventing me from logging in...its bizarre. lol

I dont like apps really, try to minimize how many I download. I use my laptop mostly...

I guess the gods of drama want to keep me out of online fights LOL!!

So the issue is the news page when you visit https://news.mydramalist.com?

I have a similar issue when trying to change list style. I can preview it but when I press select, it asks me to log in when I'm already logged in. It doesn't make much sense either because you have to be signed in to access the settings and list style section in the first place

Usually, it means your cookies expired. The issue is not related. Please make sure to check “Remember me” when logging in.

I have cleared cookies, tried logging out and in again (I always use "remember me"), tried a different browser, but the issue persists

I always select remember me, in fact the MDL tab is perpetually open/up anytime my browser is. I use an Antivirus that clears my cache and cookies AND I regularly clear my browser as well. I hate Edge :) (I'm mad I even use Microsoft lol) and honestly it's not that big a deal where I want to download ANOTHER browser just for something I rarely use, but THANKS for the advice! I apprecaite the response. I will just have to keep my thoughts to myself on articles I might want to respond to, NO BIGGIE. It was just weird and frustrating the loopty loop it took me on.

Oh and Yes Admin Ji-N. It is ONLY when I go to the news site.

You can try logging in once with your android instead of your pc, no need for the app, just log in from the site and see if you can leave a comment that way.

If you can, the problem is with the pc/browser. If you still can’t, then it’s an issue with the account. Anyway, I’m also a problematic one when I need to install apps to test, try etc hahaha

Another thing, I had some problems posting comments when I registered. I changed my username (the one in the settings that you use to register, not the display name), and everything worked fine. This was before mdl created the new “news” site, so it might be unrelated, but you could try that as well.
