Who is JB that Kyung Sun keeps mentioning

JB seems like a superior but it's been too long since I've watched season one for me to be sure. Was he present in season one ? And what role did he play if that's the case ? I keep forgetting what the characters did in S1 and I'm too packed with stuff to drop this now and watch S1 especially since they're on different platforms
