1. I saw a post but idk where about Wei Shao burn Wei Yan's paintings of XQ. Which chapter is that in the novel.

2. About Chuyu's death, is that also in novel. I would also like to know which part of novel is that?

Although I don't like Chuyu, I also don't think she deserves to die in the series.

2. No it wasn’t in the novel she was kicked out and was banned  from coming back to the Wei’s mansion

thank you, i thought there's something weird how they emphasize Chuyu leaving the Wei Mansion then make her comeback just to die. Turns out its just another plot for TV series.

the only time he slept with her without consent is when she was drunk and unconscious.  Her first time was consent and the rest was mostly forced.

It was oral, he wanted to taste her . Still without consent but they author insinuated he did it then cause he was embarrassed to say he wanted to try it

This thread is discussing alot about the state of consent. I think she allowed A lot of it because a wife in ancient Chinese culture doesnt have the right to deny her husband. To her it’s part of her duties like drawing a bath for him, etc. the times where she’s truly pissed with him she denies him completely and he complies. But their acts in bed are always aggressive and rarely enjoyable for her. I also felt like there were times when she felt that it was the only way to connect with him, if that makes sense. 

id like to explicitly say. Women, and especially wives have the right to say no.  Unfortunatel, this has not always been the case historically,

When I first read it I thought he slept with her while she  was sleeping. But then the author described her feeling bliss and floating lol. Later WS got ‘thirsty’ thinking about it and then in another scene he did it while she was awake and she goes , so that’s what you did on that day.

i think most of the people in this discussion thread probably skipped most of their intimate scenes because in the beginning a lot of it was dubious consent

I only figured it out when I read it in another language the English version I read wasn’t really accurate
