This is based only on dramas - S1 and S2, and the respective actors playing the characters of Woong and Babi, and how they are portrayed in drama, no reference of webtoon as I am yet to read it
I started this in Dec 2025. Started the first season, but couldn't watch it beyond a first few episodes. Probably cause I relate a lot with Yumi - in terms of the stage of life she's, and in some aspects with her personality but absolutely not with the logic/choices she made when it came to love 😅 Moreover, somehow am also not very convinced with Ahn Bo Hyun as an actor either - so was not really excited either to see him as the ML, and quickly gave up S1.
I did not see the end, so was not sure how Yu Babi comes into her life, but I thought S2 would be more interesting. I like Jinyoung, and feel he's done a decent job transitioning as a idol/actor but still not anything heart-thumping and ground breaking. But S2 pulled me in - because Yu Babi as a character, honestly I really would love if I get a man like that 😂 straightforward and so perceptive!
Also, the flaw that eventually led to their first break-up, honestly if I would have in the same place, I would have been taken aback, but would have not taken such a drastic decision like Yumi. I mean Babi let her go on a Christmas Eve to meet Patdol, who he knew was Yumi's ex. Morever, he has known that she's been meeting him, on-off. She never wavered, but then Babi took steps where he did not act on anything towards Da Eun. Honestly, I wish drama characters would just have better communications than just a bunch of misunderstandings and take dramatic/drastic steps! 😪
In fact, in my mind, am already thinking of a spin-off as I usually do when I like certain characters, and dislike the ending they have been given. Yu Ba Bi and Yumi (or I usually replace it with the reader as the main FL) to be endgame, cause it is honestly rare to find someone like Ba Bi, an honest, caring, perceptive man. I think he's been one of the most real and best ML characters I have come across in fictional world, not just K-dramas! No one is perfect, but he comes close to perfection, in my books....
It reminds me of another character from one of my favorite English shows - One Tree Hill, the character being Nathan Scott. Someone who was flawed, but grows and so at the end of it - you wish you found someone like him IRL.
Maybe this is a recency effect, I just finished the show, but I know when am delulu and when it's real. I honestly wish to meet someone like Babi IRL, he was that good a character IMHO ❤️
I am not sure I'll go back to S1 - it was just not for me. But S2 was amazing for Yumi/Babi and Babi remains my favourite character, and more respect for Jinyoung as an actor. I am looking forward to his new projects, and make time to see his other works - have already loved him in Devil Judge, Our Unwritten Seoul and Hi-Five, can't wait to see "A Christmas Carol" - heard he got awarded for it, and also the other released works.

P.S. Also Babi's cells were so fun, the first time they appear, omg - that was a riot, an unforgettable scene for sure and hence am using Green to depict favorite things about Yu Ba Bi 🫰❤️
