 | As a kid in 2011, I stumbled upon Winter Sonata when watching my usual Japanese anime & words like "oppa & unnie" caught my attention. Curious, I dug deeper & found that it was a Korean drama adaptation. That is how I got caught in the K-wave, going deeper once I discovered Kissasian and started Boys Over Flowers! The rest is history... I love how Asian dramas have crisp storytelling in minimal (earlier just 1) seasons & today it is my happy place bringing in cultural exchange through entertainment! |

 Not many GIFs, but even the still images are ❤️🔥🔥❤️🔥🔥 | My memory is a bit hazy to recall where I have seen SakaKen first. I am debating whether it was No Longer Heroine or 100th Love with You. There is no clear demarcation but it was the latter where I really sat and took notice, not only cause of the character or movie plot, but because he sang in it too. That was when I started looking him up & saw his other works, eventually, slowly but surely falling in love with him - his acting, handsome "shiogao" face, that lanky tall physique, that voice - my - that voice, and just his way his mouth takes shape - slightly pouty when he's not speaking, pronounced cupid's bow when he does, and that carefree smile that can light up any space. I’m exercising extreme restraint here to not completely spiral on MDL, but I trust, dear reader, you’ve already sensed just how delulu I am for this man and rightfully so. Every time he appears on screen, pops up in the news, or casually blesses us with a social media post, I find myself curling my toes and smiling like an absolute fool a rare phenomenon, even amongst fictional/celebrity men consistently ranking above real ones for me | |

I've adored him since his idol days, but 2025 has taken my crush to simp levels - so this section. It also serves as an ode to his talent that deserves recognition & I'm loving the love he's getting & hoping it continues. Truly one of the finest actors we have in K-industry, and definitely one of the top idol-turned-actors. One of the most diverse actors, I cannot describe how satisfying it is to watch him bring every character to life - chilling you to the bones with his villainy and making you swoon when he brings his handsome/romantic side, or make you ROFL when he's awkward/comedic. | ||
