I've adored him since his idol days, but 2025 has taken my crush to simp levels - so this section. It also serves as an ode to his talent that deserves recognition & I'm loving the love he's getting & hoping it continues. Truly one of the finest actors we have in K-industry!

I first noticed Lee Chae Min in his minor role in See You in My 19th Life, and even then, I thought he was handsome, talented, and someone to keep an eye on. The next project I saw him in was Hierarchy, Unfortunately, that one was a disappointment—not because of him, though. His acting and presence were still magnetic, but the plot was so weak that even my simping couldn’t save it. After that, I lost track of his work for a while. When Bon Appetit, Your Majesty started, I didn’t jump in immediately. I waited until it was halfway through its run before starting—and I’m so glad I did.

While public opinion on the drama seems divided, I’m convinced this was Lee Chae Min’s true springboard. He was already known, but now he’ll be sought after. His performance was nothing short of terrific. I’ve watched my fair share of Joseon-era dramas and seen many portrayals of kings, and his stands out as one of the most memorable. His acting felt pitch-perfect to me—his delivery, voice, and overall screen presence were captivating. He truly embodied the role with grace and charisma.

I’m absolutely looking forward to his future projects. I just hope the stories and direction he’s given will rise to meet his talent, rather than waste it on poor writing or execution. Lee Chae Min is ready for greatness—now it’s up to the industry to give him the stage he deserves!
