Sooo, I don't remember who was first, there's been so many over the last 5-6 years, muhahaha.

For sure it was a drama on YT but that doesn't narrow it down one bit.

mine was Last Twilight and I watched it as it airs. I'm not sure how I chanced it upon it, but I was just looking for bromance (the bickering-but-supporting-each-other staff, not the lovey-dovey kind)

My first BL was Semantic Error and I still love it! I’ve watched it many times since. My first Thai BL was Love in the Air. That got me into Thai BLs and the whole fandom. Now there’s no going back. lol.

I feel like The Untamed was my gateway to all things Asian BL (dramas, web novels comics etc) even though it was bromance. I watched the drama not knowing anything but loved it. I ended up searching to see if my suspicions about the lead characters were warrented. The rest was history. I truly had no interest in the genre or any thoughts before this show tbh.

For some reason I think my first actual BL was probably 2gether during covid (not sure but that was my peak binge watching time so there were alot🤣).

It was Love Sick the original version from 2014 I binge watch it and the next year watched the second season as it was airing. And I must have read the novel while waiting for the second season to air.

I don't remember which one it was, but I think it was either the Takumi-kun Series 1: And the Spring Breeze Whispers or Ai no Kotodama. I stumbled upon them by chance after looking for Japanese movies on Youtube. It was definitely in 2015 as I had watched Love Sick season 1 after those, and the 2nd season wasn't out yet.

I Told Sunset About You was my first BL drama. Most recent? I just watched up until ep 4 of Tokyo in April is... and I love it so far. ITSAY is a really good show. I have some fond memories of it. It's been like 4 years since then, since my first BL drama. I think it's safe to say I'm down for anything, especially a good plot and nice acting.

i didnt start as early as the others, i only started late of 2024 but this is a tough question and deserves its own thread (do create one please =D) good for me, i created a bl watched list every year just to see how many bls i've watch in a specific year =D

I really liked Semantic Error, even though I discovered Korean BL pretty late (early this year), it's so far one of my favorites.

Love in the Air, don't get me on this one, I re-watched it so many times, I stopped counting! ;-)

I didn't watch I told Sunset About You yet, it's on my PTW list! My most recent is Sammy's Children's Day, ep 7 aired yesterday.
