Clayish:
A misleading question I must say.
The first BL I watched was addicted which was incomplete.
But the BL I fell in love with was The Untamed and Kieta Hatsukoi.
Sorry for the misleading question in the title! But if you want to talk about your first here, feel free to do so ;-)
I didn't watch The Untamed yet. Is it Bromance or BL? I'll add it to my PTW list, even though with the finals at university coming soon, I need to reduce the amount of series I'll watch in the next weeks. Kieta Hatsukoiis is already in my PTW, I had good feedbacks about it!
Clayish:
Are these bromance and BL two different things?
bromance is a non-sexual relationship, but deeper than an average friendship. BL is a relationship between 2 men.
Indie Art Girl:
I think it's "officially" considered a bromance, but there are many clues to show us they love each other.
Ok, got it! Always good to talk to the experts in this forum ;-)

I loved this drama! 9/10
Me too. I still regularly rewatch it. Still feel the same about it! You know how sometimes when you repeatedly rewatch something you start seeing faults, illogical things and nonsense. Beside the original setup (the bodyguard growing up with the rich boy - really?!?!?) which I choose to ignore, I never found things that bothered me.
I love To My Star but I can give you a long list of everything that's wrong and illogical with it.
Where Your Eyes Linger is this director's best work ever! I think I'll go and rewatch it now! ;-)

The Untamed is a chinese drama based on a danmei novel. Danmeis are explicit BL novels. Chinese censorship does not allow explicit BLs to be broadcast so the original material is watered down and presented as bromance. So when you talk of bromance in c dramas it is a code word for a BL and when you watch it you need to pay attention to details between the leads because things are alluded to but never said or shown.

Most Chinese Bromances are tagged as Censored Adaptations of BL Original Works. You can search that tag. I also made a bromance list but it includes some shows that are not censored adaptations but just supposedly have great chemistry between the male leads. (I haven’t watched most of them yet.)

Haha, that's not me, but if you say so... 😊🤣
Mr. P and Dora plus a few others really know a lot!

I've never rewatched any drama that much. At the most I think I've rewatched 10 titles once in the 6 years of my watching experience. But I get what you're saying!

I'm not sure I want to go that road… My PTW list is already sooooooooooooo long with all the BL and dramas I want to watch, if I want to watch Bromance on top, I may need to skip sleeping for a while :-)

Neither do I: too many dramas ,too little time. But I have a list of feelgood dramas which are my go to when I'm feeling down and need something that I am certain will do the trick! Where Your Eyes Linger, To My Star, Nobleman Ryu's Wedding, My Beautiful Man and Semantic Error are the BLs on that list that have that effect on me.
