Rejected / Not Acceptable Examples for Titles (Taiwan)
Contents
The following images must not be used as the main cover image for Taiwan titles. These submissions will be rejected even if they are commonly seen online, displayed on platforms, or widely reposted.
All general rejection rules apply as described in the Global Rejected / Not Acceptable Examples section. The cases below highlight Taiwan-specific issues that commonly cause incorrect submissions.
Taiwan Market Identity & Replacement Violations
Rejected examples include:
Mainland China posters used in place of Taiwan promotional visuals
International or export posters replacing Taiwan-issued materials
Posters created for:
Overseas distribution
International sales markets
Non-Taiwan promotional campaigns
This applies even when:
The title later gains international exposure
A platform displays a different default image
The overseas poster appears more polished
If a Taiwan promotional visual exists, it must be used.
Platform UI–Modified Visuals
Rejected examples include:
Platform-generated visuals that exist only as:
App thumbnails
Homepage banners
Recommendation tiles
Vertical images created by:
Cropping horizontal visuals
Removing credits, logos, or text
Reformatting layouts for app display
Taiwanese platforms frequently generate UI-optimized artwork. Platform presentation does not establish official promotional intent.
Social-Media-First Promotional Releases (Incorrect Usage)
Rejected examples include:
Social-media graphics used as main covers when:
They were created only for short-term promotion
They lack full title branding or credits
Campaign visuals released:
For announcements
As engagement posts
For limited promotional pushes
Social-media visuals are acceptable only when they were clearly released as the title’s primary promotional image, not when they function as campaign or engagement materials.
Legacy Taiwanese Titles & Preservation Errors
Rejected examples include:
Modern redesigns replacing:
Original broadcast-era Taiwanese posters
Period-accurate promotional materials
Posters altered with:
Updated typography
Modern layouts not used during the original release period
For older Taiwanese titles, historical accuracy takes priority over image quality. Lower-resolution or archival materials are preferred over modern reinterpretations.
Platform-Commissioned Originals Misattribution
Rejected examples include:
Platform-branded visuals used as main covers when:
The title originated with a Taiwanese broadcaster
A Taiwan promotional poster exists
Platform redesigns overriding:
Original Taiwan release identity
Broadcaster-issued promotional materials
Platform involvement does not override Taiwan release authority unless the title was originally commissioned by that platform.
