Dramas & movies I completed in 2025.
-
1. Flourished Peony
Chinese Drama - 2025, 32 episodes
Loved the actors, the characters, the cinematography, the slowburn romance, the friendships, the cultural richness of the Tang dynasty, and the overarching message of the drama.
-
2. The Glory
Chinese Drama - 2025, 30 episodes
The beginning started out so strong. I loved our morally gray FL and supported her quest for revenge. I wanted to see her gain everything that was owed to her. However, the intensity and allure fizzled out toward the end, and the conclusion was just... okay.
-
3. Study Group
Korean Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
Fun fight scenes, cute friendships, pretty good adaption of the webtoon.
-
4. Weak Hero Class 1
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
Loved the fight scenes, enjoyed the dynamic between Si-eun and Suho.
-
5. Weak Hero Class 2
Korean Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
An acceptable sequel to WHC1.
-
6. The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call
Korean Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
Full of heart, interesting stories, and lovable characters. Thoroughly enjoyed.
-
7. Resident Playbook
Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
This drama took me by surprise. It started off slow and unassuming, and then gradually became one of my comfort shows of 2025. I loved the characters, the depiction of their daily lives as doctors, and the overall vibes of this drama.
-
8. The Prisoner of Beauty
Chinese Drama - 2025, 36 episodes
An absolute masterpiece. This drama was not only my favorite drama of 2025, but it became my favorite drama of all time. It has set the standard on how to write a slowburn romance and a healthy and mature relationship with *great* communication. Ever since I watched this, my expectations have been set so high that no other drama can compare in terms of chemistry and storytelling. Loved everything about this.
-
9. Mercy for None
Korean Drama - 2025, 7 episodes
Cool fight scenes, mediocre revenge story.
-
10. Moving
Korean Drama - 2023, 20 episodes
Phenomenal storytelling and complex characters. The start was a little slow, but well worth my time.
-
11. Reset
Chinese Drama - 2022, 15 episodes
Interesting premise, likable characters, good acting - the drama could've been condensed into fewer episodes.
-
12. Meet Yourself
Chinese Drama - 2023, 40 episodes
The perfect healing journey for those in need of recovering from stress, depression, or loss.
-
13. Squid Game Season 3
Korean Drama - 2025, 6 episodes
No.
-
14. Light Shop
Korean Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
Unique concept. A bit confusing at first, but once the pieces fell into place, it became a thought-provoking collection of stories about humanity and death.
-
15. In the Name of Blossom
Chinese Drama - 2025, 24 episodes
Although I loved the characters, cinematography, and overarching themes of this drama, it was a disappointing sequel to its predecessor.
-
16. The Princess's Gambit
Chinese Drama - 2025, 36 episodes
Loved the first half, but fell asleep more times than I would like to admit during the second half.
-
17. Lost You Forever
Chinese Drama - 2023, 39 episodes
A rewatch. Angsty, beautiful, addicting. Just as good as I remembered.
-
18. Coroner's Diary
Chinese Drama - 2025, 38 episodes
The cases were twisted, but the love was sweet. Loved the main couple and supporting characters. The pacing was a bit slow for some of the episodes, but it was an overall positive viewing experience.
-
19. Trigger
Korean Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
Decent performances from the veteran actors, but the drama lacked depth and substance. A disappointing watch.
-
20. Lost You Forever Season 2
Chinese Drama - 2024, 23 episodes
Beautiful, tragic, and gut-wrenching. It was a flawed season two, but a memorable story nonetheless, and it will stay with me forever.
-
21. KPop Demon Hunters
Movie - 2025
The storyline was just okay, but the characters were a lot of fun, the music was addicting, and I found myself thinking about this movie more times than I could count. Beautiful animation, I loved how vibrant everything was.
-
22. A Shop for Killers
Korean Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
Thrilling and heartfelt. This action drama had all the right elements and kept me on the edge of my seat for the majority of it.
-
23. Legend of the Female General
Chinese Drama - 2025, 36 episodes
Not what I expected, definitely flawed, but I enjoyed it oh so much. Great main characters, amazing chemistry, mostly positive experience of the drama. Will be rewatching my favorite scenes again and again for sure.
-
24. Love Untangled
Korean Movie - 2025
A cute romantic comedy and youth movie about high school romance, friendships, and self love. I adored the characters and appreciated the uplifting message so much.
-
25. When Destiny Brings the Demon
Chinese Drama - 2025, 33 episodes
A love story that transcended time and space - this drama moved me. It was made for the romance lovers, and definitely worthy of experiencing.
-
26. Twelve Letters
Chinese Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
Heart-wrenching and tragically beautiful, this drama was worth every tears I've shed. I don't think I can rewatch it, but I'm glad I gave it a chance.
-
27. Moonlit Reunion
Chinese Drama - 2025, 38 episodes
Although flawed, Moonlit Reunion was a feast for the senses and a magical experience.
-
28. A Familiar Stranger
Chinese Drama - 2022, 18 episodes
Face swaps, secret identities, and an arranged marriage with a twist. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this. My favorite part was the romance.
-
29. Mobius
Chinese Drama - 2025, 16 episodes
It felt like I lived through five exhausting loops myself while watching Mobius, but I've finally finished the drama. Despite the plot being a bit draggy, I really enjoyed the dynamics in Ding Qi's team — specifically his relationship with Duan Zheng — and the stunning cinematography.
-
30. As Long as We Both Shall Live
Japanese Movie - 2023
The story felt a bit underdeveloped due to time constraints, but it was nonetheless a cute story, just like the anime.
-
31. Painted Skin: The Guo Jingming Edition
Chinese Movie - 2020
An okay movie. I wasn't really convince on any of the romance. The two male leads had more chemistry with each other than they did with Wang Chu Ran.
-
32. Tempest
Korean Drama - 2025, 9 episodes
The drama started off suspenseful and compelling, but derailed toward the end. While I enjoyed the performances of the actors and the political storyline for the most part, I felt the romance was forced and unnecessary.
-
33. Fated Hearts
Chinese Drama - 2025, 38 episodes
Finally. It has been a while since I felt this way, but this was an enemies-to-lovers romance that was executed perfectly. I loved the main characters and enjoyed the chemistry so much.
-
34. Romantics Anonymous
Japanese Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
Heartfelt and related. Some things could've been executed a little better, but overall, it was a decent watch.
-
35. Yummy Yummy Yummy
Chinese Drama - 2025, 32 episodes
A fun and refreshing take on the time-travel trope. I didn't enjoy the second half, but in general, I adored the characters, the food, and the comedy.
-
36. Welcome to Samdal-ri
Korean Drama - 2023, 16 episodes
Beautiful cinematography, but plot progression and character development were lacking. It was a struggle to make it to the finish line.
-
37. Typhoon Family
Korean Drama - 2025, 16 episodes
The beginning was great. I loved the characters and enjoyed their interactions with each other. However, the story was incredibly repetitive and slow, which made it difficult to watch the second half. The ending was underwhelming. I wouldn't recommend binge-watching this.
-
38. Dear X
Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
Initially addictive and thrilling, I only had one wish for this drama and it was for a glorious and satisfying downfall for Baek Ah Jin. The writers failed to deliver that.
-
39. This Thriving Land
Chinese Drama - 2025, 36 episodes
Unapologetically brutal at times, but a worthwhile watch. Its true beauty lay in the cast of wonderfully flawed characters. Each and every single one of them brought so much heart into this story. Love, love, love.
