wuxia, so heavy on the martial arts world. no fl or romance. But I love the ml and his story. legit made me so sad for him at some parts. 

xianxia, so gods/immortals and monsters. fl and ml amazing powercouple. beginning was eh for me, had to drop it and come back. but OMG, it got soooooo good. 

wuxia. love me an independent fl. ml and fl amazing power couple tho. ending was....unfortunately not great, but this drama is still 10000% worth the watch, no question. 

xianxia. cute story about fl and ml love story in different love trials  (basically different lifetimes but return to being gods/immortals each time they die) in the human world. 

xianxia. love the ml, very sad moments but still HE.

xianxia. crazy amazing visuals. love the premise that ml is a villain, but you actually seriously understand why he turned out the way he did and don't hate him for it. love the character development. SE.

xianxia. love the ml acting. fl voice not annoying, but takes some time getting used to. cute story with interesting initial premise of body swapping.  HE.

wuxia. love the premise that ml is a modern guy who gets thrown into this world. fell in love with how ml upholds values of respecting women, treating everyone with kindness, and upholding justice regardless of one's social status. not too heavy on the romance. has comedy. ends on a cliffhanger cuz they're making a second season.

Bittersweet, SE. Wuxia. Very cute found family dynamics and very op ml. 

wuxia, i thiiiiink? maybe xianxia actually? very cute fl and ml. has some heart wrenching moments. 

kinda wuxia. LOVE the ml, he goes through so much :'(. fl goes through some questionable character development near the midpoint of the drama, but gets much better after that. BEST ending I've seen to a drama in a looooooong time

wuxia. bl novel but drama is not really due to the broadcast restrictions. love the ml. no fl obvs. relatively sad story, but HE.

hella wuxia. very light on the romance. very sad moments but HE.

amazing last few episodes. ml is a wallflower for a good many episodes and fl takes front and center, but i'm not mad cuz she was amazing. gets a bit slow at times, but this drama surprised me in a good way. also, SUPER CUTE CAT.

xianxia. CRAZY level plot twists. basically you get hella sucked in, regardless of how good the story or writing actually is. XD

xianxia. cute story about twin sisters getting swapped somehow on their way to their weddings on the same day. love the ml and how he treats fl, who went through a lot growing up.

wuxia (and maybe xianxia?). love the flirty, confident, and antihero style fl. and love that the ml doesn't abandon her just cuz he's one of the "good guys".

wuxia. pretty visuals and cute story between the fl and ml.

wuxia. no fl. straight up just a story about ml's journey to becoming an immortal, so a lot of cultivation and learning. action scenes and CGI are very VERY good.  will have a season 2.

wuxia. based on bl novel again. love one of the ml's and his unhinged villain energy. XD

xianxia (I think?). crazy beautiful visuals and atmosphere. unfortunately, had very annoying out of place comedy at some points. but I love the ml.

wuxia. mixed reviews, some people hate this, others (like me) liked it. i just thought it was a cute story with ml and fl.

xianxia. Honestly, idk about this one. It's definitely a "classic", but I'm not really a fan of the ml and how he treats fl at times. Felt pressured to put it on this list. XD
