A true comedy, sometime slapstick-y, from Earth and Mix. It's not going to be everyone's taste but I thoroughly enjoyed it, even though Heng (Earth) was wishy-washy and had a hard time saying No. 

Three fairly random mini episodes from the show that were entertaining but weren't long enough as a full episode by themselves.

High school best friends meet again in a work place setting. Really cute flashbacks (post-credits). I loved their chemistry (apparent in the show and in their BTS). TW: Ghosting

A studious rule follower, Minase Jin, meets Hirukawa Haruki,  an infamous troublemaker (smoker, gets into fights, skips school, beats up a teacher) outside the classroom and starts noticing everything about him. Unfortunately, that includes getting beaten up by his drunk father. They maintain a friendship outside of school but do not want to be seen together while at school.

I loved all the couples in the show. Watching this was an absolute blast and I definitely miss it.  

Forced proximity trope brings a perfect ending.

I looked forward to every episode (watched while on-air). My biggest complaint is that the last episode felt a bit rushed and Pete/Kenta or Pete/Way was underdeveloped.

Just saw the trailer for Pit Babe Season 2. 

A mini-series with a college setting. Younger lead chases older one.

Office setting for school friends who are now work colleagues. A confession that's many years overdue changes everything. 

HEA for the win. I have to hand it to the make-up and costume designer as well as actor Fujibayashi Yasunari. I kept comparing Enaga and AE to see if Chiaki should've been able to tell sooner that they were one and the same, and they felt like two different people to me.

Kudos to Zi Yu and Tian Xu Ning who play Wu Suo Wei and Chi Cheng. They did a superb job pulling us into their story, showing us and making us feel the gamut of emotions they went through. Again, Chai Ji Dan was instrumental in bring her novel to life, as she did with Stay with Me.

This was interesting to me from the start, just watching the leads navigate their landlord-tenant and employer-employee relationships, and who gets to be boss is different in each space. And I really liked how it ended.

I was hooked from the first episode. Watarai was so cute in his interactions with Hioki. All their friends being supportive, too precious.

Two short episodes focusing on our leads' growing closeness.

College RomCom. Ignore the "stalker" description in the synopsis. Toh is just over-the-top crushing on Nuea and may have hoarding tendencies. What I loved about this series: the tight friendship of Toh, Jao, Daisy and Som; and the representation: ML/ML, FL/ML, FL/FL couples. Intentionally campy so be prepared for second-hand cringe. Great NC scenes. Good rep of safe sex and consent.

Childhood friends to lovers. The MDL rating (currently at 7.6) doesn't  reflect my experience with the show. At the start, A'Tuo was coming on strong, which may have been a turn off for viewers. As the story progressed, the leads realize that this was very much a mutual love which started before Jun Xi realized his feelings for A'Tuo.

Talk about toxic. We have a love square where three men are interested in the same guy, and they express their "love" differently. There are flashbacks, so it's hard to pinpoint when scenes happened on the timeline but these just make the show more interesting and compelling.

I absolutely loved the cinematography of this short series. It was also unusual in the way the story unfolded. The nonlinear narrative worked for this short series. Xiao Zhi and Chen Li's story unfolded like a blooming flower, with every shared interaction giving sustenance to that flower...until the end of the summer has a fully bloomed flower enveloping them (and us) in a heady scent.

A sweet show where we see bratty, spoiled ML change into a caring individual who learns sign language in order to communicate with his crush. A heartwarming show about acceptance. Good NC scenes.

Opposites attract in a university setting. Incredibly well executed.

The finale of the Seven Days series. As Sunday approaches, Seiryo regrets agreeing to limit their dating to just one week. Yuzuru gets insecure when he realizes who Shino is. When a classmate confesses to Yuzuru while they're together, Seiryo realizes Shino will not be lacking people to date once they end their relationship. Sunday is coming too fast.

A film about two popular boys who met in the Archery Club. Shino keeps getting dumped because his personality doesn't match his face; at least that's what the girls tell him. They have a preconceived notion of what he should be like then they're disappointed, so they dump him. The younger boy, Seiryo, will date the first girl who asks him out on Monday, but by Thursday, he will say, "I can't fall for you. Let's break up." On a whim, Shino asks Seiryo to go out. All the while, Shino is thinking he will only have a week, so he wants to do everything. They spend a lot of time together, nearly all waking moment they're free. And in that short time, they get to know each other. More importantly, they each show interest in the other past the superficial level. Watch Seven Days: Friday - Sunday for the conclusion.

Best friends to lovers trope that felt realistic. Before friendship can change to something more, the age-old question is always "Am I willing to lose the friendship if we break up?" Of course, before that, there's also the fear of unrequited love, that you're the only one who feels more. So, confessing is doubly daunting because you might lose your best friend forever.

So, so cute about two college roommates: a spirit medium and his human talisman.

Cuteness overload. I couldn't stop smiling.

This is an incredible BL, full of details and "clues" about the MLs' growing closeness, from the posters and artwork on the walls and the color schemes of clothing, lighting, etc. You can search for the Reddit on-air discussions for additional details, which was esp. useful for me on culture/language insights. SWM was adapted from book 1 of the novel "Are You Addicted?" by Chai Ji Dan, who was the screenwriter for this drama. I'm disappointed that Season 2 was cancelled.

Taekwondo setting. TW: Bullying

Although I enjoyed the start of the series. I found the introduction of the mystical part distracting and something that didn't add to my enjoyment of the show. I love fantasy and mythology so I was a bit surprised that it didn't intrigue me more in this drama. The Sam-Yo pairing became more interesting after a while. I think Sam was my favorite character.

Takara is the cool, popular guy and Amagi is the cute, quiet kid who somehow catches Takara's eye. This is one of the cutest dramas, and I loved Katori 's role as their "relationship interpreter."

I love these two characters who are so different yet fit together so well.

Pacing was slow.

This did not disappoint. It was a satisfying HEA, and the mains leads were just so good together. The supporting cast was amazing, esp. LYKN. High production value and great acting (esp. for acting rookies LYKN).

I wish we had more episodes to clarify their past.

One of the best BLs of 2023. The leads had great chemistry. There were no many wonderful details that you may only notice on a rewatch, like color schemes and patterns. The camera work may seen up close and even shaky at times, but they really wanted to bring us into the show. At times, I felt like I was intruding into the character's personal space.

College relationship ended badly, and the two MLs unexpectedly meet at their college library just days before a world-ending meteor will hit the earth. NC scenes are hot! TW: Infidelity

A different show from what we typically get from GMMTV, bolder in their NC scenes and quite violent in the theme (two of the leads are hitmen). It's my favorite show with Joong Archen and Dunk Natachai, plus we get the pairing of First Kanaphan and Khaotung Thanawat. This was very entertaining and Dunk as Style just slayed.

Saint and Ice were close friends in high school who started an ambiguous more-than-friends relationship as they were figuring out their sexuality. Saint's father tore them apart and locked Saint at home without access to his phone on the very night that Ice needed him the most. That started their biggest misunderstanding and Saint remained clueless while Ice went through hell.

TW: Young adult forced into pornography. Sexual assault by trusted adult.

This story focuses on Tong's family which has suffered severely when Tong's sister Tang was lost. Tong convinces his Mom to hire a look-a-like June to act like his sister Tang so help cure his Dad of alcoholism. Feeling out of options, his Mom agrees. Tong connects with Mew, a musician whose grandmother had just passed away; Mew now lives by himself and keeps busy with his music and school band. His friendship with Tong starts his healing and allows him to complete a love song he's been working.
For HD viewing, try Netflix-Thailand or rent on Amazon Prime. The YT version was low quality and hard to watch.

This could have been another HR nightmare but it was so well done.

This fascinated me from episode 1, and thankfully 2 episodes were released each week. They picked the right actors to play Jiang Tian and Sheng Wang. Incredible chemistry and wonderful acting. The cinematography was also well executed; great use of light, rainbows, weather. I can't praise this show enough. Unfortunately, Season 2 has been confirmed as cancelled.

Fun sports BL with MeenPing. A few plot holes here and there, but still an enjoyable watch.
TW: Gang violence

Lots of action scenes and mystery. Very intriguing, esp. the fantasy elements. I almost rated this a 10/10 but the last episode felt a bit rushed.

A classic. Although this was a Censored Adaptation Of Same-sex Original Work, they had done a fabulous job letting us know how much the MLs cared for and loved each other. I loved the scene where drunk Lan Zhan gives chickens to Wei Ying, a common Chinese betrothal ritual. Exceptional chemistry between the leads.

Childhood friends to lovers, the slowest of slow burns. Neighborhood setting.

Best friends reuniting after 10 years. Ep 7 was the key episode.

Set in 1930s and 1940s, Romance, Fantasy, Drama (I would say melodramatic, esp. for Song’s first and second wives). Thian has been groomed to take over the family business, but he has a secret that is costing lives. I love the relationship between brothers Yang and Thian.

A one-night stand between best friends leads to conflict between them.

You don't need to watch Bad Romance The Series to watch this sequel.

TW: Childhood trauma stems from their brief time together and long separation. Their eventual reunion brings love and healing that the two of them could find only in each other.

Rivals to secret lovers in an industry where back stabbing and undermining your rivals are the norm. Is their love strong enough, or is this just a Nong's admiration for a Phi who helped him out when he was a newbie? One guarantee: you will look at honey in a different light after this.

An ER doctor experiences a time loop when he fails to save one specific patient. Thriller, Romance, Fantasy.

Side story of 30-sai made Dotei Da to Mahotsukai ni Nareru rashii.

A fired employee approaches the Chairman's favorite artist in order to curry favor and potentially get rehired. The employee watches the reclusive artist from afar, thinking about the best way to approach him. As they interact more, he ends up falling for him.

Excellent chemistry between the leads, found family, forbidden love. Steamy NC scene.
