-
2. Ao Haru Ride
Japanese Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
Youth that is both fleeting and reblooming
The ML keeps ghosting FL for years and FL just keeps forgiving him. thats it and thats the plot.

3. Mischievous Kiss: Love in Tokyo
Japanese Drama - 2013, 16 episodes
slow-burning love story of balance between feeling too little and too much.
The ML is not a red flag. Neither is the FL. They are just two very different individuals. One feels too little. The other feels too much. One has no trouble with expressing herself, the other has never expressed himself before he met her. They are a truly balanced pair and to see them mature from season 1 to season was a delightful experience. -
4. Mischievous Kiss: Love in Tokyo Season 2
Japanese Drama - 2014, 16 episodes
A Journey from Mischief to Mature Love
Despite being opposites in every way — one calm and logical, the other emotional and impulsive — their love continues to grow stronger through everyday challenges.
Kotoko’s boundless enthusiasm and Naoki’s quiet devotion create a heartwarming balance that makes their bond feel real and relatable.
As they face career struggles, misunderstandings, and the ups and downs of marriage, they both learn what true partnership means.
Season 2 beautifully captures how love matures when two very different people choose to grow together, not apart. -
5. As Long as We Both Shall Live
Japanese Movie - 2023
Fantasy Romance of Introverts
It had such a gentle but powerful impact. The way Kiyoka cared for Miyo, not just as a husband but as someone who truly saw her pain and wanted to protect her, was so beautiful and rare. It wasn’t over-the-top dramatic but something about the soft pacing and emotional depth just stays with you. Both characters are introverts and they express their love through sincerity. The supporting cast is also pretty amazing. This might just be one of the best casting for live action. -
6. A Calm Sea and Beautiful Days with You
Japanese Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
An arranged marriage in pre-war Japan
Kind of cute if you can handle hyper extreme self-conscious ocd behaviour and overthinking to an insane degree (which I get was supposed to be comic)A cute, funny and heartwarming story of an arranged marriage in pre-war Japan, with an adorably awkward, reserved and innocent main couple, and an amusingly bantering and witty second couple.Watching them falling in love, bonding and supporting each other was a real pleasure to watch.
