Best BL Series (Through My INFP Lens)
This is my personal ranking of BL series/movies – very INFP-coded (so expect lots of feelings, aesthetics, chemistry, and vibes over logic).
-
1. Love in the Big City
Korean Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
This is LGBT story - so raw, so authentic, painfully honest but in the best way. It’s gonna stick with me for a long time.
-
2. The On1y One
Taiwanese Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
Slow burn but not just love story, nope. It's a real gem. it’s slower paced, but every dialogue and every look actually means something. The whole thing just pulls you in with emotions.
-
3. Gelboys
Thai Drama - 2025, 7 episodes
At first I was like ‘hmm idk about this,’ but then the emotions slapped me in the face and suddenly I was drowning in feelings. Probably the most intense rollercoaster thing I’ve watched in a while.
-
4. My School President
Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
This is like my ultimate definition of a comfort show , honestly… I wouldn’t have survived the first months of 2023 without it .
-
5. Kill to Love
Singaporean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen such a beautifully told love story.
Plus, it’s the first ancient Chinese BL (with actual kisses!!) -
6. I Told Sunset about You
Thai Drama - 2020, 5 episodes
THIS. IS. ART. Visually, musically, acting-wise.
-
7. Secrets Happened on the Litchi Island
Chinese Drama - 2025, 7 episodes
Stunning shots, gorgeous music, totally gave me Call Me By Your Name vibes. I was literally just soaking it all in visually
-
8. Happy of the End
Japanese Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
One of the rawest, grittiest stories I’ve ever experienced. So painfully real it broke me into pieces.
-
9. Love for Love's Sake
Korean Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
This show is sooo underrated?? Like it’s such a pure love story, no toxic nonsense, no messy characters, good plot. Why is no one talking about it?
-
10. Old Fashion Cupcake
Japanese Drama - 2022, 5 episodes
If falling in love with a love story is a thing… congrats, this is it. It’s so adorable and has rewatch potential like 1000 times
-
11. The End of the World with You
Japanese Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
I wasn’t ready for this wild plot. Thought I was just here for the NC stuff… but ended up loving the weird, gripping storyline. And the characters transformations made the show even better
-
12. Eternal Yesterday
Japanese Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
It’s about grief, hits harder than you expect, and honestly… worth every second
-
13. The Untamed
Chinese Drama - 2019, 50 episodes
Not BL - a bromance, but chemistry between them and the lingering glances are unreal. Chef’s kiss compared to many BLs.
-
14. The Sparkle in Your Eye
Singaporean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
Low budget but honestly? So good. Story, acting, and a lil’ angst had me hooked
-
15. Not Me
Thai Drama - 2021, 14 episodes
This show is so balanced between romance and everything else. Super fresh and different from other Thai BLs. Mentions real LGBT struggles and issues too. Huge positive surprise
-
16. About Youth
Taiwanese Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
Very cute, solid acting plus a great soundtrack. Nobody asked, literally everyone needed it
-
17. Stay with Me
Chinese Drama - 2023, 24 episodes
It’s a bromance, but a good one. Super family-oriented and it really melts your heart
-
18. Your Name Engraved Herein
Taiwanese Movie - 2020
Another great LGBT story - a romance that isn’t rushed, really makes you feel. This is set in the late ’80s Taiwan.
-
19. Marry My Dead Body
Taiwanese Movie - 2022
This isn’t BL, though it’s LGBT-themed and i absolutely loved the story.
-
20. Moonlight Chicken
Thai Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
I’m not a fan of the main couple, but omg, HeartLiMing - I loved it. And this series is just beautifully done in every way.
-
21. I Promised You the Moon
Thai Drama - 2021, 5 episodes
Probably in the minority here, but the second part of the story grabbed me way more plot-wise than the first (ITSAY). Maybe it’s because the characters started having real-life doubts. This part just felt way more authentic and relatable, so I could actually vibe with it. Though it was def less artsy than the first part
-
22. Jack o' Frost
Japanese Drama - 2023, 6 episodes
The best part of this is how the characters are developed and how emotions are shown in a subtle way. Easly felt connected to the characters and their experiences.
-
23. More than Words
Japanese Drama - 2022, 10 episodes
This is also more of an LGBT story, but it really touched my heart. I didn’t expect it to turn out this way.. Stayed in my thoughts for weeks
-
24. HIStory2: Crossing the Line
Taiwanese Special - 2018, 8 episodes
I watched this like years ago! Wow! But I still remember how amazing the chemistry was in this one.
-
25. Love Sick
Thai Drama - 2014, 12 episodes
My first BL series – I watched it back in 2015 when there weren’t many other titles yet, so I’m rating it a bit through the lens of nostalgia.
-
26. Revenged Love
Chinese Drama - 2025, 24 episodes
First of all, I’ve been so missing Chinese BLs (like, we’ve waited years). Technically this isn’t the best show - you could def pick on a bunch of things. But what made me love this series? The second couple (totally won me over) + the awesome soundtrack + that super unique Chinese BL/bromance way of showing chemistry. They literally just look at each other and I’m gone...
-
27. 180 Degree Longitude Passes Through Us
Thai Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
This is a whole different caliber of story. Another one with depth, that talks about trauma, family secrets, but no romanticizing the problems. Beautiful slow burn, age gap, and a solid villian.
-
28. Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo
Korean Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
this series isn’t super outstanding , but the angst was so well balanced and I was shook at how the actors nailed that teenage intimacy and closeness - awkward first kisses. Trigger warning: domestic violence
-
29. Semantic Error
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
This is the BL series I’d recommend to anyone just entering the BL world . It’s cute but also super engaging.
-
30. Bad Buddy
Thai Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
This is honestly a really good series - one of the best from GMMTV. Loved the cast! Ohm definitely has more BL experience than Nanon, but Nanon’s still amazing. I was super into the story and it didn’t feel nearly as cringe as some GMMTV series can be.

31. Shine (Orchestric Ver.)
Thai Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
