ꜰᴀᴠᴇꜱ - shows/movies that are very dear to me

The series that got me into Dramas in the first place. I've rewatched it countless of times (the way saying it's probably around 50 times does NOT feel like an exaggeration lmao).
This show is genuinely so dear to me and comforts me, I love it and I thank the scriptwriter for giving me Fujisaki Nozomi as an opening into discovering there are people like me represented in media (also thanking the aroace character lists on this site <3)

Genuinely such a remarkable drama I will never be able to get over. It's perfect in every way I can think of, beautiful story, characters, visuals, sound design. Everything about it is handled with such care. I love it so much <3

Ougfdskjfds this one feels like the warmth of the sun on a fresh day, the breeze of the wind and a genuine smile. The main character is so relatable and the episode with the kid's struggles really hit close to home and stuck with me. I could say a 100 great things about this jdrama /ref

One of the few things I watched before I even got interested in Jdramas, due to my Death Note hyperfixation in early 2023 I believe. Does this film have a lot of pacing and plot issues? yes. Do I love it any less? absolutely not. L from this iteration specifically is my comfort character and the found family dynamic will always get me. This movie stands on its own imo and is just a great piece of media :>

This was so good and relatable :( I will never be able to sufficiently describe how much it meant to me to find actual aroace and qpr rep in media for the first time. Not only that, but to have it handled with such care and understanding with characters I ended up adoring. Koisenu Futari is so important to me.

Every episode left me smiling at the screen and also craving food (even when I was eating while watching it lmao). Such a great and warm show :>

This show was recommended to me by a friend after I described the premise of Kinou Nani Tabeta to them (update: they're watching that now bc of the reverse rec hehe), it did NOT disappoint and brought more warmth and comfort.
I still have yet to check out the 2nd season which I have HIGH hopes for, I'm excited T-T

Can you tell I love food dramas with warm character dynamics and also found family </3 this drama is so good and also the first show I saw Atsuhiro Inukai play in, but omg it's Kamen Rider Build (AND Ex-Aid?? insane) /lh /j (I have a KR fixation while making this list so this was inevitable, I'm afraid. Surprised I didn't feel the need to yell about Banjo Ryuga in the Cherry Magic section).
Getting back to Our Dining Table, the show is so sweet and was yet another gem food drama.

Japan keeps on making peak food dramas, what can I say. Yet another banger with a friendship built on mutual care through food. Man I love friendship <3 and also omg genderqueer character aufdsfdsjk <3 <3 <3

Characters in this show mean so much to me actually. the visuals are stunning and the song "Yuuhinoue" latched onto my brain and has not let me go since, it's so good.
I have not read the manga yet, but it's so clear that this show adapted it beautifully <3

I was not going to add this on this list initially and on my drama tierlist it is a tier below everything else, but,, I just felt compelled to put it here??? idk, it's a really down to earth and satisfying show.
(also woah it's Philip from Kamen Rider W and the antagonist from the 4th Death Note movie (and there's also Soichiro from the DN movies woah)) 

finished this on 28th of Feb 2025 - first update to the list since I initially created it.  IT WAS SO SWEET :(( it had me grinning the whole way through. I love me a warm food romance <3 the main 2 characters are literally the opposite ends of the autism spectrum (I love them so much)

The gateway into my Kamen Rider brainrot...and also,, PEAK !!!!!! 20 episodes out by the time of me making this list and this show is SO good, it has delivered on every single front I'm afraid,, thank you Kamen Rider Gavv for being peak 

2nd Kamen Rider show I started and the 1st one I ever finished and as of writing this, it's my favourite finished Kamen Rider show by far. It's just so good and the insane lore and characters have captivated me and blew my mind. I've paced/ran around in circles for 20+ minutes (not an exaggeration, actual time and yes, I was out of breath when I finally calmed down lmao) because of this show. The excitement this and Gavv bring me is immesurable and everyone around me has been subjected to my autistic rambles about them.

Man...I love Kamen Rider: Friendship is Magic <3 SDJKFHDS this was such a comforting season that just made me smile throughout, I want to be Gentaro's friend sm.
