    9.0

    Watched: 2 times
    Cinematograpy: Amazing, 10/10
    Pacing: Slow
Mood: Philosophical, bittersweet, realistic, mental health

Absolute cinema. The colours are a reflection of the MC's mood, it's very visually well shot.
    Good message on mental health.

  • Eclipse

    2. Eclipse

    Korean Movie - 2016

    9.0

    Watched: 1 time
    Cinematograpy: Really good
    Pacing: Slow
Mood: Grim, bittersweet, jealousy,  need to rewatch

A jealousy filled love triangle with gritty, moody and dark story elements.
A lot of subtle symbolism and subtextual MM romance. (One sided?)
Open to interpretation, but as I see it, this is MM, even if Se Joon's love is one sided or isn't (left unanswered).

  • To My Star

    3. To My Star

    8.5

    Watched: 3 times
    Cinematograpy: Basic, but great
    Pacing: Slow
    Mood: Fun, cheesy, bittersweet-ish

Basic and a bit cliché, but feel good.
Seemed to aim for this kind of vision.

  • To My Star Season 2: Our Untold Stories

    Korean Drama - 2022, 10 episodes

    8.5

    Watch: 1 time
    Cinematograpy: ?
    Pacing: ?
Mood: Dramatic, bittersweet, need to rewatch

Not really out of character ''overreacting'' from the ''cold'' lead. I think it fits even if a bit too dramatic for me. Not bad, but it's definitly a drama... aka don't not rewatching much.

  • Our Dining Table

Sweet slow paced romance. Suprisingly not cheesy, just cute and pretty funny. Yukata, Yutaka

    Cinematograpy: Basic but good/fun
    Pacing: Regular

The ''computer brain'' guy being more proactive was a good surprise?
Brainless fun, fairly formulaic show and all. I like a lot.

  • Love for Love's Sake

    Korean Drama - 2024, 8 episodes

    9.5

  • Your Name Engraved Herein

    8. Your Name Engraved Herein

    Taiwanese Movie - 2020

    9.5

    Watched: 2 times
    Cinematograpy: Amazing
    Pacing: Slow
    Mood: Bittersweet, sad, grim

Very moody, realistic and bittersweet. A lot of pretty symbolism, metaphorical imagery and meaningful subtext. Show not tell.

A show that is better when you know little about it.
But bittersweet as hell, so beware if you're not in the mood for it.
    Still a happy, ambiguous ending.

  • Love with Flaws

    9. Love with Flaws

    Korean Drama - 2019, 32 episodes

Watched: 5 times (1 fully, 4 ''BL cut'')
    Cinematograpy: Great
    Pacing: Slow
Mood: Fun, cheesy, bittersweet, mental health, need to rewatch

It's not a ''BL show'', BUT, the MM couple is really well written and acted.

Main couple is 'eh', but the sides ones are good. (FM and MM ones)

  • Restart after Come back Home

    Japanese Movie - 2020

    9.0

    Watched: 2 times

  • The Cornered Mouse Dreams of Cheese

    11. The Cornered Mouse Dreams of Cheese

    Japanese Movie - 2020

    9.0

    Watched: 2 times
    Cinematograpy: Amazing
    Pacing: Slow
Mood: Bittersweet, grim, broken, philosophical, need to rewatch
Pair main theme: Need to rewatch. Obsessive?

The characters are morally ambiguous, obviously flawed and very well portrayed. Even considering the circumstances, I could relate to how the characters were feeling and felt bad for every characters. Even the ''girl rival'', which is usually a bland, useless caricature in ''BL shows'' was well written and I felt sorry for her.

  • Manner of Death

    12. Manner of Death

    Thai Drama - 2020, 14 episodes

    9.0

    Watched: 3 times
    Cinematograpy: Great
    Pacing: Slow
Mood: Bittersweet, corruption, crime, can't trust any character

Proper show with a romance sub plot that happens to be two males.

Fun action stuff, medical pathology that is fun to learn (to me at least) and interesting three dimensional characters actually with motives beyond ''make drama because it's the third act and we have nothing''. The drama doesn't really feel forced, and the story got me curious and invested.

  • The End of the World with You

    13. The End of the World with You

    Japanese Drama - 2023, 8 episodes

    9.5

    Watched: 1 time
    Cinematography: Good
Pacing: Slow (its a japanese show, of course its gonna be slow)
    Mood: Bittersweet, Mental Health, Psychological
Pair main theme: Regret, ressentment and trust

warning: there is almost graphic sex scenes

  • Sotus

    14. Sotus

    Thai Drama - 2016, 15 episodes

    7.0

    Watched: 8 times
    Cinematograpy: Average, so-so
    Pacing: Slow
    Mood: Cheesy
Pair main theme: Enemy to Lover, Warm man Cold man

Guilty pleasure... but I really like the characters. Believable, even with the eyebrow raising moments. Last few episodes should have been more slow-burn, but the rest of the progression and character's slow and realistic.

That and the gang of dumbasses from Arthit's group are actually funny.

No skinship, no sex, no forced fanservice. Hell yeah.
Just too much "thai comedy" aka many sound effect.

  • Old Fashion Cupcake

    15. Old Fashion Cupcake

    Japanese Drama - 2022, 5 episodes

    8.5

    Watched: 3  time
    Cinematograpy: Good
    Pacing: Slow
Mood: Cheesy, philosophical, bittersweet, mental health
    Pair main theme: idk

Fairly basic plot and setting, but pretty good. Lots of good messages to apply for your own life... Doing/learning something new everyday, not become stale in a predictable but unchallenged life, etc.

Psychological story a bit. Messed up well written characters.

Will rewatch eventually to score better, but rn this shit good. Yeh you right, past me...

  • Our Youth

    18. Our Youth

    Japanese Drama - 2024, 10 episodes

    9.0
  • We Best Love: No. 1 For You

    19. We Best Love: No. 1 For You

    Taiwanese Drama - 2021, 6 episodes

    8.5

    Watched: 3 times

Sweet story without being too corny/dumb. Characters that feel real and not fujoshi bait. Zhou Shu Yi doesn't act like a shy maiden, he owns up to liking the other guy, which is refreshing. Zhou Shu is also bi and had a crush on his childhood friend, which is a girl for once.

The other MM pairing was out of place and cringy to watch.

  • HIStory3: Trapped

    20. HIStory3: Trapped

    Taiwanese Special - 2019, 20 episodes

    7.5

    Watched: 3 times
    Cinematograpy: Need to rewatch
    Pacing: Slow
    Mood: Fun, cheesy, action
Pair main theme: "Enemy to Lover"

Honestly really liked it, even if some scenes were unfunny-dumb and fanservicey (otherwise would be a solid 9.5/10).
It had good pacing, slow enough for me to enjoy, but not stalling, and the story actually interested me overall (mafia kind of, crime shit)

Idc about Jack and other guy though, they were just unnecessary cheese imo. Liked the other couple though.

  • The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window

    21. The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window

    Japanese Movie - 2021

    7.5

    Watched: 1 time

Kinda more of an underdeveloped bromance. Manga was better, even the anime was too.
BUT, I see it was romance, just not ''steamy'' or well defined.
(Still underdeveloped as the movie goes on, but better than instalove/makeout every 2 seconds cuz the audience are thirsty fujoshis)

  • At 25:00 in Akasaka

I think I like it a bit more because blondie is cute. Thats my summary rn xd

  • Addicted

    23. Addicted

    Chinese Drama - 2016, 15 episodes

    8.0

    Watched: 4 times

Half a guilty pleasure? But I really do think the characters are very well acted.
Good actor chemistry, lots of show not tell behavioural/facial expression cues. Natural story progression.  Pretty slow paced.
Really liked the side characters and their tales (Bao Luo Yin's dad, auntie, etc)

There's a difference between teasing/push it and acting rapey... it's a thin line in this, but the acting makes it work somehow in my opinion. Both are very stubborn characters. Have to rererewatch to be sure it's not me being generous. Kidnapping scene is absolute cringe tho, wtf.
