Favorite Mainstream Feature Films - Top 30

After almost five years of maintaining this as a list of the "BEST" thirty films, ranked, I realized that for me, the enterprise is absurd. There are countless astoundingly excellent films out there, of every genre, subject matter, style, and nuance. How am I to throw them all into one giant box and pick the thirty "best?" Not possible.

Simple solution: This is now a list of my thirty FAVORITE movies. In many cases, I'm unable to fully articulate why they are my favorites, except to say they profoundly moved me, whether to sorrow, joy, or one of a million points of emotion in between. 

And that explanation will have to do. :)
