༄ 2026 Log + PTW ༄

Straight up female power fantasy drama. But I know the author of the novel always does this so I knew what I'm going into. Was relaxing and enteetaining. The production was very good and the fighting scenes were outstanding!
In the last 4 episodes it was obvious they needed to quickly wrap it up but there was a whole arc left so they put 3 plot twists in 1 episdoe and quickly killed off a character and made He Yan go to war off screen abd we didnt even get a wedding knight scene.

A great drama, nothing less expected from the director. The actors wren't my favorites but surprised me and I loved their performance and chemistry (again thank you Zheng shu)
The first half was so relaxing and cute, I really enjoyed the time in the village, the middle was cool and adventerous wich I love when the fmc is a fighting badass and goes on an adventure and finds loyal male friends XD. But here, the focus shifted only on her, we saw seldom the male lead and so their chemistry dwindled a little bit.
The last third of the drama was stereotypical "lets find out the treason plot a few years ago and get revenge" wich was actually a bummer for the vibes but I still liked it. I generally like familiar themes in dramas :)

I had so much fun with it. This BL has very good production overall. I'll be following this directors works

31.01.26: Why did they name the male lead Do Ra Ik?! Everytime.they say his name I can't take the scene seriously.

31.01.26: Watched it in one day. Eventhough it was a bingeable drama it was quite mid. In 2 weeks or so I will probabaly totally forget it exists.

I really didn't expect to finish watching this series with a smile on my face and a warm feeling in my heart ...
I loved the atmosphere of it, the lighting in some scenes was surprisingly exquisite and the love scenes are beautifully choreographed. The plot wasn't only angsty but also exciting and unpredictable (I was always surprised what schemes Fan Xiao pulled to manipulate Shulang)
It would go to onto my favorite list if not for the biggest flaw. The acting.  None of the actors were even half decent, they were all pretty bad at acting. The worst of all was Fan Xiaos actor X_X. This character is so extremely complicated, it requieres  very good subtle acting skills and he couldn't even get out basic reactions lol. Realistically its a 5 but it was still an emotional roller coaster to me so I gave it a 7 for the "vibes"
I hope in the future this gets a remake with better actors.

So much action and bad cg and so little world, story and character development. Also, the parrelels to the currupt real world is too on the nose. For me, it felt like fantasy Squid Game but with worse production and with three hot guys.
