YESS. PeteKao is one of the superior BL CPs, imo. Has 2 couples and both well thought out, developed. It's a very well-made, realistic, & normalized. Top shelf BL. This is now my fav intro (i'm sorry i ever skipped it-the drama! the violins! gasp!) Pete's dad is best character of all BL's ever and every drama parent ever. PG-13. DBK is one of the best made BLs to exist.

Yes. Jealousy is a big part of this one but it's not a toxic or annoying kind. 1) Pete is a jealous person by nature. They talk about it. Understand the following to truly appreciate the drama & get the message : 2) Their relationship began because of feelings of jealousy & possessiveness. That's how Pete knew he liked Kao. 3) They've been dating for 4 years but only 2 people know (Pete's dad & Sandy. Kao's mom suspects but they think she doesn't know). Pete's jealously is partly bc he feels insecure in the relationship. No one knows they are in one, so people hit on Kao, AND if they ever break up, nobody would know. It'd be like their relationship never happened. So, for these reasons, I am fully okay with Pete's jealousy in DBK. It makes sense: 1) he's a jealous person by nature, and 2) he's insecure about their relationship bc it's kept secret. So don't let the "jealousy" deter you. DBK= remarkably thoughtful & normalized BL relationships.

Alright. Has draggy parts & gaps that don't matter; music during scenes is poor. G because Chinese BLs tend to censor out any PDA from script, btw. Unhappy ending but still looks pretty good. Fantasy.

DARK. R. Darker than expected. Kinda boring too so I've only made it through #1, skipped around #2, (I already knew ending of #3 bcuz of spoilers in the comments on MDL), & then put it on hold. Thought it was just going to be about cyber-bullying/bullying but I was wrong (intense physical assault followed by rape+suicide). Commend production for portraying rape & its aftereffects realistically & not as a "path to romance/relationship." High reviews; tackles heavy topics; watch if in mood for that kind of thing. Goes like, #1: Light/"fluffy"->#2: Dark/the assault->#3: Darker/the effects

G (Though based on BL novel, it is still a Chinese drama, so you'll have to appreciate subtle things. Read YT comments for symbolisms or references to novel or sneaky moments director pulled to pass censorship . Like the theme song. It'd probably get a higher rating if I had watched all of it, but I just wanted moments centered on LZ+WY. 

The Special Edition extends, adds, removes, & alters scenes from the OG in order to enhance main ship storyline. You may need to watch OG for full comprehension, & if you want more for other characters arcs bc Special does cut out some good things.
