1. The Handmaiden
Korean Movie - 2016
Probably my favourite film of all time, of any genre or country, so pretty hard to beat.

4. Petrichor: Uncut
Thai Drama - 2024, 10 episodes
I love me a good crime/detective drama. And this maybe wasn't the crime drama to top all crime dramas, I mean it only really covered two cases, but I also sincerely liked the gentle romance in Petrichor. Perhaps because the cases are able to take the weight of the drama, the romantic relationship is actually quite peaceful, with only a major hurdle at the end, and I found it very enjoyable to simply see two passionate and earnest people encounter a like-minded spirit and fall into each others' gravitational orbit like it was the most natural thing in the world. Their falling in love didn't have to have so many ups and downs as in other dramas, and I appreciated that.

5. MuTeLuv: Hello, Is This Luck?
Thai Drama - 2025, 4 episodes
Maybe not technically a GL, but I think competitive greenflag Leemhai would agree it deserves the title. If nothing else, Leemhai is one of the warmest, safest representations of a woman loving woman you could possibly wish for. She's easy to get along with as another woman, and puts her partner at ease as a lover, the incarnation of patience and reassurance, without it diminishing her self-respect. I think Hello, Is This Luck? is a great comparison point for Enemies with Benefits, where Lal is the green flag and Wine is the one who needs to be given space, shown respect and held safely, and we get to see the actresses in this complete role reversal. Well, Jan is still a goof in both IPs while JingJing gets to be the relatively refined and composed one, so not a complete 180 in all aspects.

6. The Water
Thai Drama - 2026, 8 episodes
Possibly the best introduction to Englot I could have had, I only hope it's not the end of their work together.
-
7. Uranus2324
Thai Movie - 2024
I wish this was a series and every episode was a lifetime.
-
8. GAP
Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
Credit where credit is due; this is a solid drama for a first commercial foray into girls' love.
-
9. The Air
Thai Drama - 2026, 8 episodes
Roadtrip~
-
10. Dangerous Queen
Thai Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
I don't think I'm ever getting over TK's lethal face card.
-
11. Whale Store xoxo
Thai Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
Wholesome as it gets~

12. 23.5
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
Lowkey triggered my school age anxiety like ptsd with second-hand embarrassment. The awkwardness is way too real ^^"
-
13. Girlfriend the Movie
Thai Movie - 2017
Amateur. Naive. Avant-garde. Classic.
-
14. Runaway
Thai Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
Could have committed harder to the horror aspect, while GL horror is a niche within a niche, and I'd love to see more of it, Runaway wasn't really scary and the plot twists didn't really feel so much twisty as they did confusing. I also felt the characters were represented a little too sympathetically, and I saw someone talk about the novel ending which sounded genuinely horrifying whereas the drama kinda went "lmao, sike" - which was pretty funny, but like also, it was funny, when I think it should have left me unable to sleep. Definitely felt like the director/producers didn't want to scare off any more of their audience than the horror label automatically did, and to give them credit, it was thoroughly horror all the way through (even if it wasn't particularly scary) and it felt consistent all the way through, like they chose a level of horror and stuck with it.

15. Queendom (Uncut Ver.)
Thai Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
Cute. I always love a good body swap, I think it's a great challenge to the actors, and this was a well-rounded, if light-hearted take on the concept (although the ending was a bit weird).
-
16. Love Design (Uncut Ver.)
Thai Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
-
17. Heart Code
Thai Drama - 2026, 7 episodes
Someone got a bit extra angsty halfway through, but hey, lesbian police, I'm not saying no. Pretty sure that whole "train my daughter" section was an abuse of power and public resources though ^^"
-
18. Love beyond Dreams
Thai Drama - 2026, 7 episodes
P'Le, why you always gotta be such a bitch? :') Rann is basically out here banging her head on a concrete wall. Also, Aya looks so much like Jan it's uncanny from some angles.
-
19. The Earth
Thai Drama - 2026, 8 episodes
The production value was balls, and the script was cheesy as hell, but it was definitely the cutest instalment of 4 Elements, and it had its own charm in spite of its flaws.
-
20. My Safe Zone
Thai Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
+special
-
21. Reverse with Me: Uncut
Thai Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
I guess I wasn't expecting this to mainly be set in a hospital, and I'm not really about medical dramas, so I didn't rate this that highly, even though I quite like the time reversal concept. Ultimately they nerfed the ability so it only really got used twice for anything that wasn't basically just flirting - which was also weird because why would you spend your lifespan to stop someone having had a nightmare they probably won't even remember when you could just comfort them...and how did reversing time even change what dream she had anyway? There was a lot of grey area for what seemed to be a hard power system.
-
22. Denied Love (Uncut Ver.)
Thai Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
Pretty cute, a bit stretched maybe. I definitely got annoyed with Rin for repeating the same mistakes without growing until she exceeded the critical limit of Khem's endurance, but I liked the choice to end each episode with a video diary reflecting on the characters' inner feelings, and I thought it was an interesting choice how almost every episode ended on an intimate scene: not only does it hook the audience and make an engaging opening scene, but narratively it reflects how, no matter what seems to happen throughout the episode, Rin always somehow ends up in Khem's hands, representing the inevitability of their love across the series. The specials were definitely a must watch for this series, a nice fluffy wrap up to the romance that spent most of the main series being only half acknowledged.

23. Blank
Thai Drama - 2024, 6 episodes
I'm not sure how deep I dropped this, but I've been meaning to finish it eventually...one day...for sure.
The first drama I encountered from Thailand's GL wave, that I watched at a point when I was still struggling to engage with the language. If P'Faye were not a literal goddess on earth I wouldn't have stuck with it as long as I did. I must have first heard of GAP around this time, but this still felt too obscure for me to try it back then.
-
24. Futari Monologue
Japanese Drama - 2017, 6 episodes
I don't remember much, besides it being a very Japanese kind of story. I'm not sure what I mean by that specifically, but there must be some particularity that gives it a certain feeling.
-
25. Our Love Story
Korean Movie - 2016
I remember nothing but vibes. The vibes were good.
-
26. Apple My Love (Uncut Ver.)
Thai Drama - 2024, 6 episodes
Eh. Had some cute moments. thought the relationship drama was a bit contrived, but I didn't hate it overall. Probably wouldn't bother with a rewatch though, think I can peace out on this one.
-
27. Frozen Valentine (Uncut Ver.)
Thai Drama - 2026, 10 episodes
I forced myself to finish this.
-
28. Yes or No
Thai Movie - 2010
Possibly the first Thai GL I ever watched? Possibly the first Thai anything I ever watched, except for maybe Shakeshoulder. I really tried engaging with this, because there was sod all else around in the genre, but personally toms are just not for me.
-
29. Yes or No 2
Thai Movie - 2012
Toms + emotional drama, I'd be better off watching East Enders. I don't remember the plot, only the emotional exhaustion I felt when I dropped it. Something about cheating or exes...I don't particularly care to recall.
