♡ Top 20 Fav K-Dramas ♡

La crème de la crème (in my humble opinion).

There are mostly romance dramas but not only, though I'd like to add more thrillers.

(currently adding some mini reviews, so it's still a work in progress.)

Came into my life at exactly the right moment.

I didn’t expect it, but I really needed a drama like this. Something that is not just comforting, but genuinely motivating.

At the time i almost only watched romance, so this was a breath of fresh air. A story that isn’t about escaping reality, but about facing life head-on, with all its unfairness, loss, and growth. It doesn’t sugarcoat anything, and that’s what makes it so powerful.

The diversity of characters made it feel so real, each with their own struggles, pasts, and ways of coping. Even the antagonists are well-crafted, they are complex, and believable. And Park Seo-joon? He WAS this role.

Plus, the soundtrack is unforgettable. Some songs hit so deep, they’ve stayed with me ever since.

This one will always have a special place in my list.

A masterpiece like no other nowadays

This is one of those rare dramas that manages to be original, touching, and impactful. The plot is so unique. The clash between North and South is constant and central to everything, and the way life in the North is portrayed adds depth we rarely get to see. I loved how real the challenges felt, from the constant tension of Yoon Se-ri being suspected as a spy, to the emotional and political obstacles.

The protagonists' bond felt pure and powerful, built in trust, vulnerability, and the kind of chemistry that feels undeniable (no wonder they got married irl). Also the secondary couple brought me to tears, their story was complex and just as meaningful.

The drama has a perfect balance of everything:  there’s humor, intensity, and a lot of love.

A story about division that somehow feels so unifying.

The kind of story that stays with you

This one stood out to me as it steps outside of the kind of setting i'm used to, not only through the geographical place, by unfolding mainly in Uruk, but also through the emotions it conveys. The love story doesn’t displays constant flirt or clichés, instead it's full of mutual respect, deep trust, and emotional strength, which makes it feel far more mature and genuine.

I really appreciated the balance between a global awareness, showing the harsh realities of war zones, political tensions, and humanitarian crises, and the intimacy of that beautiful, slow-burning romance.

The cinematography is stunning and needs to be given credits too, with its incredible shots on gorgeous landscapes. And the soundtrack with that one specific song is just perfect. The bond between the protagonists feels so precious, built through danger, distance, and difficult choices.

The warmth of this completely won me over.

I’ve always had a soft spot for the world of books, and this drama captures that atmosphere beautifully. The cozy open-space filled with manuscripts vibe almost felt like a quiet library dream.

What touched me the most, is how the romance unfolds with warmth and maturity. Da-ni’s character brings a refreshing depth, showing that love doesn’t have an age limit or a deadline.

This drama is so comforting, it feels like curling up with a favorite novel.
