1. The Manipulated
Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes

2. The Prisoner of Beauty
Chinese Drama - 2025, 36 episodes
I enjoyed seeing the relationship develop between the lead couple, it was slow and steady which gave the viewers the chance to feel their depth and connection as the story went on I liked the female lead's personality, she's smart, brave and charming. It took a little longer to warm up to the male lead's character (Lord Wei) but I liked how he developed and changed over time. Nice chemistry between them. First time seeing Liu Yu Ning so it will be interesting to see his other dramas in future. I didn't find any part of the drama boring, even all the side characters kept me engaged (which doesn't happen often....). I like the 4 generals, their friendship and loyalty had so much depth and of course General Wel Liang and Xiao Tao's relationship was so adorable and wholesome. I think they are the cutest side couple I have come across so far. I had no issues with the pacing, it felt consistent. I liked the cinematography and the soundtracks were nice. It was interesting to see how both clans overcame their challenges and hurdles. Overall a solid and well acted drama. An enemies to lovers drama can be so satisfying to watch!

3. Twelve Letters
Chinese Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
This memorable drama will leave a impact for the viewers. It's emotionally intense with a mysterious premise. I was surprised how much it caught my emotions since I had no idea what I was letting myself in for. It has been a while since I last watched a C-drama with a dark and gritty setting which made it more realistic. The circumstances were indeed sad and tragic but there were moments filled with hope and longing with our leading couple and their friends. The acting and cast was on point particularly from the 90's timeline which was the main focus. The only downside was the rushed (hopeful/optimistic) ending with some unanswered questions. It would have benefited from a stronger and more conclusive ending which I feel we deserve after all the heartache the drama put us through. The soundtracks complemented the drama well....it even added a HK canto song to reflect the early 90's.

4. The First Frost
Chinese Drama - 2025, 32 episodes
I only want the best! At first I wasn't used to the new Sang Yan after getting used to him in HL but honestly TFF Sang Yan won me over. ❤️ I can still see elements of the original Sang Yan so BJT did a very good job in adapting to his character particularly the slightly cocky and a bit grumpy side of him. What I like most is that BJT managed to convey the deeper and softer side of him. It added more depth to his personality which I don't think I would have seen if they kept the original actor. I liked the story overall but it took a different direction at a certain point which I didn't appreciate but it got back on track. The couple had great chemistry with so many adorable and sweet moments together. It could have been shorter say around 25-26 eps which would have improved the pacing. The soundtracks were really nice which helped create the sweet ambience. I especially like the 2 tracks'Wilful' and 'Like A Sunny Day, Like A Rainy Day'. The FL's struggles did add depth to the story and was more melo compared to HL.
Side note: I skipped the parts with the granddad's story line....I didn't find it interesting.
Side note: 2: Just found out the part I didn't like (felt off track imo...) wasn't in the novel, they changed it for the drama. Now I know the reason why I didn't like it xD

5. Marry My Husband: Japan
Japanese Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
I'm sure the K-version is good but I'm glad I picked the J-version to watch. Enjoyable and intriguing, much better than Perfect Marriage Revenge which had a similar revenge plot. Also helped that it was shorter than the K-version and yet still felt cohesive and it didn't feel rushed. Good cast, solid drama.

6. The Double
Chinese Drama - 2024, 40 episodes
The cast, the cinematography and music as well as the story made this drama engaging to watch. I loved seeing the main lead couple's interactions and the slow romance developed well as the backdrop....their cute, sometimes flirty moments were fun to watch between them. The short special episode is definitely a must watch ❤️ I don't usually like big age gaps but honestly the chemistry and acting between the 2 leads was well matched that I barely noticed it. I initially picked this up for Wang Xing Yue since I wanted to see him in a lead role. I enjoyed his role as Duke Su the most, he added a sense of intrigue ❤️ There is a large cast and the other characters were interesting which is a plus point. There were a couple of minor plot holes but if you just want an engaging revenge-themed drama with 2 smart, composed and capable leads and a good ensemble cast then this drama will tick the box.

7. A Calm Sea and Beautiful Days with You
Japanese Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
Two words to describe this endearing drama: Adorably Awkward ❤️
Couldn't wait to watch this....made it a high priority as soon as it was fully subbed. Kinda felt like an asadora with the narrator. It had an anime/manga feel to it (I know it's based from a manga) so I guess it tried to match as close to it.

8. Squid Game Season 3
Korean Drama - 2025, 6 episodes
The games were so intense! I liked the Korean cast overall but couldn't stand the VIP characters....they were so cringe and hard to watch xD Squid Games will stay iconic for years to come.

9. The Good Bad Mother
Korean Drama - 2023, 14 episodes
The drama itself was decent enough....I wasn't as emotionally invested the way I thought I would be and it didn't quite meet my expectations but there was enough going on to keep me watching. A few side characters were a bit annoying....didn't connect with them. Lee Do Hyun's acting has not captured me so far not in this drama or when he was in The Glory...so it makes me less motivated to see his other works going forward.

10. Amidst a Snowstorm of Love
Chinese Drama - 2024, 30 episodes
I picked this up for the main leads since I was curious to see them together I enjoyed their chemistry and liked how healthy their relationship was. Lots of sweet moments between them. Wu Lei's character Lin Yi Yang was a dream! The guy was completely devoted to his girl and that's just what I like to see! ❤️ The drama had some good points and some flaws, it could have been shorter maybe 20-24 eps so it did drag a little. There were many cringy moments/dialogue from the foreign actors....too many to count lol. It was a big budget production since half of it was filmed overseas so lots of great winter cinematography. I liked the music in the drama which created a warm ambience. Minimal conflict with zero interference in the couple's relationship was a big plus point. There could have been a deeper story but there was enough to keep me mostly engaged. Will pick a drama with Wang Xing Yue soon so I have to decide which one first...The Double or Story of Kunning Palace.

11. Where Does the Sea Begin
Japanese Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
It has been so long since I last watched a family focused J-drama and this one did not disappoint. Izutani Rana stole the show. She was adorable and her acting was incredible. She reminded me of Mana Chan when she was little. ❤️

12. When Life Gives You Tangerines
Korean Drama - 2025, 16 episodes
One of the rare times where hype met expectations. Park Bo Gum and IU were great together as well as the older cast. This was a heartwarming tender drama and yes I needed a box of tissues. ❤️

13. Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
This was overall a wholesome drama. I enjoyed the pairing and my first time seeing Kim Seon Ho and Shin Min Ah. Nice cinematography with the seaside/village setting. This reminded me of C-drama Meet Yourself.

14. Perfect Marriage Revenge
Korean Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
I have been behind with my comments. I watched this 4 months ago and my memory is already failing xD From what I remember this was a decent watch. ML was okay, he didn't captivate me much and I felt his character lacked some depth. Glad the drama was kept to 12 episodes it definitely didn't need more than that.
