A little intro: Asian dramas have always been part of my life, fluent in Cantonese and able to understand some Mandarin I spent time in the past watching dramas & movies from Hong Kong. I made the transition from anime >> Japanese dramas >> Korean dramas and now I watch a mix from different countries. Works from notable Film Directors like Zhang Yi-Mou, Wong Ka Wai, Park Chan Wook and Koreeda Hirokazu will also catch my attention. Taking my time with dramas and combining movies and variety shows has helped me to avoid slumps.

I like deep themes, thought-provoking topics and well written intriguing characters.

I enjoy meaningful and aspiring slice of life stories and I have a deep appreciation for family themed dramas like Tonbi and Battle of Changsha and warm friendship dramas like Reply 1988, Orange Days and Prison Playbook. My ratings are subjective but I take into account when the script is compelling, cohesive and well written with depth and natural flow as well as interesting dynamics between characters. If I enjoy something enough or it captures my heart I will overlook minor flaws and some inconsistencies but I dislike anything that feels forced, shallow or pointless. I have a higher benchmark for titles rated 9 and above but titles reaching this level are becoming more elusive.

Although I am selective I do appreciate watching from a wide range which can be anything from Japanese classics to unique and quirky movies. My choices depends on my mood so they can be quite random with a mix of old and new dramas and movies and switching between different countries. My way of mixing things up has led me to discover some great ʜɪᴅᴅᴇɴ ɢᴇᴍs.
