    10

gay thai show (again, gay, bc everything i watch is gay atm), sort of mystery/thriller vibes. it's about this guy (Ayan) who moves to a prestigious and extremely strict school to find out the reason behind his uncle's death, and whilst he's there he becomes a major suspect by the prefect (Akk) as to being behind protests against the school and stuff. and it's. gay. it's so gay. it's so good.

  • Kimi no Koto Dake Mite Itai

    14. Kimi no Koto Dake Mite Itai

    Japanese Drama - 2022, 4 episodes

    8.5
    it's got such a whimsical feel to it but is also so genuine and THERE'S NO MISUNDERSTANDINGS BETWEEN THE CHARACTERs AND THE WAY THEY SAY THEY LOVE EACH OTHER IS JUST SO PRECIOUS. IT'S SO GOOD. highly recommend. like if I had to describe Kimi No Koto Dake Mike Itai (I Only Want To Look At You) then I'd describe it like being gently covered by a warm wave of ocean water ;w;
  • Utsukushii Kare

    15. Utsukushii Kare

    Japanese Drama - 2021, 6 episodes

    9.5

this show will tear you to shreds.
it's about a student, Hira, who is the "gopher" of the school, aka used and basically bullied even though all he does is try to exist invisibly. new student, Kiyoi Sou, appears, and Hira falls completely and utterly in love with him at first sight and treats him like a god (the OST for this show absolutely bangs, the lyrics of the main song are 10/10). anyway the story just follows their development and growing friendship and then rips it from under your feet but then the show finishes with a little cherry on top and i love it to death. their dynamic is so so great. i didnt rly vibe with the show at first but GOOD LORD the more i watched it the more i was like this fucking slaps

god there are some scenes in this show that really are just so raw and pure.

  • A Tale of Thousand Stars

    16. A Tale of Thousand Stars

    Thai Drama - 2021, 10 episodes

    9.0

concept is that this Rich BoyTM (called Tian <3_<3) gets a heart transplant from a girl that he discovers was a volunteer teacher at a village, and to honour the fact that he got a heart transplant from her he decides to embark on a journey to the village to teach in her place and "right his wrongs" in a sense. whilst he's there, he realises that he is truly passionate about the kids he's teaching and the village, and he also maybeeee falls in love with the camp guard (; the main character has absolutely incredible character development throughout the whole series (which is a criminally short 10 eps long, i have 1.5 eps remaining to watch and i am in TATTERS).  it's a really, really incredibly written show, the dialogue is 10/10, there's some really interesting scenes talking about the unfair advantage people with richer lives have, and it's just,,, so good

  • Never Let Me Go

    17. Never Let Me Go

    Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes

    8.5

concept surrounds a son (Nuengdiao) of a prestigious rich family whose father is killed right before his eyes, and he has to start training to take over as CEO of the company that his father handled. his mother, Tanya, to better protect Nueng, asks for a loyal family employee to get Nueng a bodyguard, which ends up being the employee's son, Palm. you can see where this is going. classic bodyguard x rich boy trope. BUT IT'S DONE SO WELL it's so BLATANTLY evident that they have eyes for each other from their very first fucking interaction. and it's only 3 eps in but it's so sweet bc you can see them growing closer as friends as opposed to the bodyguard/boss divide, since all Nueng really wants is a friend but Palm is conditioned to call him boss/Mr. Nueng because his family is their employer. also the actors have already acted together in another series (Fish Upon The Sky), and it's so interesting to see their dynamic here bc THEIR CHARACTERS ARE SO DIFFERENT to the previous series i watched with them in! Palm is this shy, soft-spoken lil bean who is ridiculously protective of Nueng /pos, and Nueng is straightforward, direct, and not afraid to express what he truly feels. also there are some very cute flirty scenes and some other scenes where they're like, across the room from each other and just keep staring at one another, so fucking cute

  • Bad Buddy

    18. Bad Buddy

    Thai Drama - 2021, 12 episodes

literally cannot begin to describe what green flags the two of them are, they're just. so good for each other. makes my heart swell

  • Triage

    19. Triage

    Thai Drama - 2022, 13 episodes

    10

  • My School President

    20. My School President

    Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes

    9.5

okay SO this series! hasn't fully released yet im like halfway through (new ep came out yesterday i need to watch it ehehehe) ANYWAYS it's about this group of music club peeps trying to keep their club running bc the school board wants to shut it down. the mc (Gun) ends up entangled in a rivalry with the school president (Tinn) bc he believes Tinn is trying to shut the club down. plot twist: Tinn is trying to do the complete opposite lol, bc he's got a massive crush on him and has done for a while - he's just. awkward and keeps getting himself into situations LOL

anyways i ugh, dont want to reveal too much? even though i could talk about this for like? forever? especially with what happens as the series progresses? like pls look after my bbies

  • Blueming

    21. Blueming

    Korean Drama - 2022, 11 episodes

    10

the most raw depiction of slowly falling in love that i have ever seen

talks a lot about confidence/self-image issues, and about the beauty standards in korea and how internalised one can make those beauty standards to the point where they can't even realise they they are beautiful, to the point where they reject even the thought of people liking them bc they dont see themselves as likable. and it also talks a bit about broken families and tensions in familial relationships - the main character is actually a child of divorce, and his love interest's parents are... something that's for sure.

    i cried watching this lmao

this healed all the broken parts of me. I actually really wanted to give it a 10, but seriously, it reminded me of Kimi No Koto Dake Mite Itai in the best way - it's so HEALING, it's so WONDERFUL. they're just two gays, having fun, falling in love. what more could you ask for
