1. Nevertheless: The Shapes of Love
Japanese Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
This drama is so pretty to look at, the cinematography is a piece of art. So beautiful. Loved how this drama explored the characters emotions and how they all felt so imperfectly perfect and human.

2. 18×2 Beyond Youthful Days
Japanese Movie - 2024
Beautiful, touching and nostalgic. A film that makes you feel and reflect. That makes you want to travel and cherish the small moments and encounters in life. Somewhat predictable, but the slow and emotional unfolding of the story makes it worth the while. It leaves a heavy, but warm feeling behind when it’s over.

3. A Balloon's Landing
Taiwanese Movie - 2024
This film has such stunning cinematography and sceneries, the gorgeous colour grading and soundtrack ties it all together so beautifully. The chemistry between the main characters feels so natural, the actors did an amazing job.
My only complaint would be that the second half of the film feels a bit messy and all over the place, especially in comparison to the beautiful story telling in the first half. I still loved every second of this film. It really hit me in the feels. -
4. Drawing Closer
Japanese Movie - 2024
Three gerberas for this movie even though it made me sob uncontrollably and question why I do this to myself. Third tearjerker this week, I need help.
Drawing Closer is nothing new under the sun, especially not when it comes to Japanese cinema, but it’s a beautiful and heart wrenching experience that will stay with you (and possibly make you cry your eyes out… multiple times). It’s so heartbreaking, yet so warm at the same time. Definitely worthwhile.
With that said I just have to say that the colour grading and lighting was awful at times. The colours looked overly saturated in many scenes. -
5. Lighting Up the Stars
Chinese Movie - 2022
What a beautiful film. Heartfelt, emotional and authentic. I loved watching their bond grow stronger as the film went on and all the precious moments they shared.

6. I Will Be Your Bloom
Japanese Drama - 2022, 10 episodes
A nice watch about the struggles young idols might face in the entertainment industry. It had a few scenes that I really liked that made the drama kind of worth the time, but other than that it was not a very memorable watch.
-
7. The Prisoner of Beauty
Chinese Drama - 2025, 36 episodes
A great historical romance drama with a bit of political intrigue on the side. The perfect watch for the enemies to lovers enthusiasts. Very bingable and memorable.
The ending felt a bit rushed and didn’t leave me completely satisfied, if they only added a few more episodes to keep the same pace as the rest of the drama it would’ve been so much better. Either way it was an amazing watch!

8. How to Make Millions before Grandma Dies
Thai Movie - 2024
She’s literally just a girl living her first life too.
I cried my eyes out during the movie and I haven’t stopped crying since, it’s been an hour. This was such a painful, yet beautiful and meaningful watch.
The storytelling is slow, but told in such a deliberate and impactful way. You are bound to feel touched by the beauty and authenticity of this film. Not many movies manages to feel this genuine.

9. Marry My Husband: Japan
Japanese Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
A great adaptation of the manhwa “Marry My Husband”. I personally prefer this adaptation over the Korean drama adaptation that felt a bit overdramatised and boring at times.
Not only did this adaptation feel more grounded and serious in its tone, the acting and cinematography was absolutely amazing. The chemistry between the two main leads was *chef’s kiss*, you could literally feel the tension between them. Not to talk about the fact that the male lead has a master’s degree in yearning and would do anything for the female lead.
I also really enjoyed that it focused more on her taking back her life rather than taking out her revenge on everyone. The revenge was never the end goal, but instead felt like a sweet treat along her journey for survival and seizing her life back.

10. Glass Heart
Japanese Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
This was a nice and fun watch with good music and an engaging storyline. Although I did enjoy this show, some parts felt a bit rushed. It would’ve been better if they gave the characters and story more time and space to develop before big events. The story was also way more “tropey” and cliché than I first thought it would be, not that I mind, it was still a great watch.
I also felt like the main character had much more chemistry with the second male lead. His interest and love for her just felt so natural somehow and I really enjoyed their moments together. It wasn’t the end of the world though since I liked her with the male lead as well. -
11. Love Untangled
Korean Movie - 2025
Really sweet. I enjoyed it.
