things i finished in 2026

i think this was a decent adaptation but they dragged the storyline. the later parts were sooo uninteresting to me while the scenes with zhuang xu gave this drama flavor (not a zx fan i even trashtalked him in my twitter). personally, the ones with the leads were quite lackluster. they couldve added more conflict, even just a little (no, the initial misunderstanding doesnt count)

also tbh since lin yusen liked being a doctor so much, he still couldve pursue being a general practitioner, no? i feel the drama has exaggerated his trauma from the accident. sure he was a surgeon and he loved his job very much, but to get so depressed over it that you have to throw your whole career away just shows how weak his resolve is. like just get up from it girl jajajaja

on the technical aspects, the use of green screens in many instances bothered me so much. not only is it painfully obvious, but the lighting was also uncoordinated in every scene they use a green screen with lolol

anyway in summary, still a good watch but the later parts just focused on their careers which i wasnt here for. zhuang xu was what kept this drama going but this couldve also ended with 24 eps 

i loved the first 5 eps a lot, such a great start really! perfect balance of romance and comedy. the later half was also alright too although it got cringier as the eps progressed

great characterization and pacing. thee's antics will really keep you slapping your face each time, mouth hanging, and toes curling in cringe. 

honestly a mess. the sci-fi part was so lame. wouldve been better had it stayed as a pure disaster film

i watched this during my graveyard shift and i got instantly hooked i couldnt stop watching. the story is well portrayed. this drama should be the standard when it comes to pacing, the story telling is just top notch. i think all the leads acted their asses off here too, esp the cheng hsiang tao's actress. this also made me appreciate tseng jinghua. this man's got such a good filmography tbh
