{personal notes:  there are soooo many KRs to choose from, but with Inukai Atsuhiro and Akaso Eiji as the MCs of Build, did i really have a choice?!?  of course i want them to be my first!  the only reason i wanted to check out any KR is because i've noticed several of my favorite japanese actors have lead or support roles in the franchise.  pretty sure i won't make it too far into this but the trailer looks better to me than most KRs.  (am i blinded by Inukai Atsuhiro?!)  i just wanna give it a try, what the hell.

update:  "the laws of victory have been decided!"  i wasn't sure i could sit through a full episode but the show is actually amusing - and not in the "so bad it's funny" kinda way, but due to the silly writing and comedic chops of these actors.  besides the two MLs, the two FLs are also funny!  i'm a few episodes in - so far there's mostly non-descript baddies who graciously give the hero ample time for a chemistry project and suiting up before a fight (and even tranforming again mid-fight!)... but there are glimpses of some bigger baddies to come.  so yeah, typical shōnen stuff and maybe i can't finish 49(?!) episodes, but for now my inner adolescent boy feels like it's saturday morning and my only plans are to spend the weekend eating junk food, reading piles of manga, playing video games, and binging kr build.}
