S. Korean Dramas [Watched]

2/3 - felt more style over substance for me.

3/4 - parts of it were annoying and ridiculous but it was an entertaining ride.

1/4 - Shin Ha-kyun is, of course, amazing and Yeo Jin-goo is excellent too. these two are all I remember of the drama.

2/3 - started off strong but the twist became obvious fairly early on.

2/4 - adorable friendship, but lots of action and style with no real development.

1/4 - not too sure how I finished this... not my kind of humor and I felt the show didn't know what it wanted to be.

4/4 - loved it, not a boring minute in 20 episodes.

2/3 - while I did like this, it felt kinda crammed together. Maybe the pacing was off,  doubt I'd re-watch it.

2/3 - Nina's story was very moving, and that's pretty much all I remember from part 2

3/4 - really loved the set up, some stories were better than others but overall really good.

3/4 - on par with part 1

2/4 - It was alright. Fun to see all the actors before they were famous.

2/4 - idk if it was vibes or what but something just didn't click with me, possibly the lack of likable characters where I cared what happened to them.

2/4 - this was pretty good but doubt I'd revisit.

1/4 - maybe i just wasn't paying close enough attention but i had no idea what was going on or who the characters were, but i didn't really care to

2/4 - good to see a female led sex-positive drama, beyond that it was alright. The friend was my favorite character.

1/4 - honestly... I only watched this because I was a BTS fan at the time.

3/4 - moody with some good twists.

2/4 - struggled to care very much about the plot or the characters.

4/4 - One of the most unique plotlines I've seen in a long time, it's a ride.

1/4 - I don't remember enjoying this all that much.

2/4 - this was OK, I don't actually remember finishing it though.

3/4 - recency bias and the fact this this represents a significant moment for LGBTQ+ in South Korean popular media inflates my rating. I really did like it, but it felt disjointed and repetitive at times.

2/4 - I had high hopes in the beginning, mostly let down but the overdramatics of the FL being good at fighting. Idk why they had to make it silly? why couldn't her being good be enough.

2/4 - loved the concept and started off strong, but I found myself losing interest before the end.

4/4 - one of my favorite dramas of all, loved the realness.

3/4 - very good, but still think I preferred the Japanese version.

2/4 - I didn't find the plot or the acting particularly held my attention.

4/4 - moving and heartwarming, I loved it.

3/4 - this was so well acted and filmed, but I did find the harsh split between following the parents/kids story lines a bit, eh.

2/4 - watched this a long time ago, but think I remember it having a certain charm about it.

4/4 - amazing show. Slowburn, fragile, emotional, tiring, real.

2/4 - decent and loved the portrayal of the lead, very one note though.

3/4 - slow burn, great acting

4/4 - infuriating and totally brilliant with fantastic MLs and a great MC character arc.

2/4 - I liked this, it was a slower pace but it felt real.

3/4 - this was heartbreaking and sickening. I wouldn't watch it again but the kind of thing that deserves watching once.

2/3 - I'm not actually sure I finished this in the end. Cute story but a little dragging.

3/4 - so stressful and tense, kept me on the edge of my seat.

3/4 - slow first half, fire second half. better than season 1

3/4 - nostalgia might be playing a role here, but I loved the ensemble approach and how we got to see a range of characters, plots and perspectives.

2/4 - it's got both style and substance, really well acted just not sure it was for me.

1/4 - should've just been a movie sequel. Good fight scenes, nothing else of note. Also pretty poor, overdone audience emotional manipulation.

1/4 - I barely remember this, but it left no lasting impression.

2/4 - didn't like any of the characters and everything felt off-kilter, but I guess that's a good thing...?

3/4 - gross and oppressive with a glorious descent into madness.

2/4 - one of my first Korean dramas so I might be remembering it with some bias, but it was whacky and fun.

2/3 - started strong with a cast of fun characters, but it felt a bit thin.

2/4 - I was a fan of the Webtoon, wasn't as impressed with the adaptation.

2/5 - so this wasn't great, but I'd be lying if I said Nam Joo-hyuk didn't make me lol a good few times. 

3/4 - this was absolutely made by the three main actors, who were amazing in their roles. "Normal" people pushed to extreme limits, the progressive desperation as they fell deeper, and things escalated beyond their control, was so real. I was reminded of the leads in Bleak Night, which is one of my favourite Korean movies.

3/4 - another bullying revenge plot, very well acted, kept me interested every episode.

3/4 - on par with part 1

2/5 - this is hard to rate accurately because it was such a long time ago and it was one of my earliest Korea dramas but I remember liking it.

3/4 - dark, gritty and twisty in the best way.

2/4 - difficult to rate. I think this was my first Kdrama, and I don't remember it well. It got me into Kdrama, so that's a bonus point there.

2/4 - heavy topic, depressing plot, great acting and some shock value, but I can't help feel something was missing.

3/4 - I don't tend to watch rom-coms but this was so silly and fun, I enjoyed it.

2/4 - this was weird af, glad I watched it.

1/4 - almost rated zero. absolutely not for me and the twist was too obvious early on.

2/4 - the pain and confusion of young love told with beautiful cinematography for such a low-key production.

3/4 - this was so stressful but kept me engaged and wanting to know what happens next until the very end.

3/4 - possibly the lead's best work.

2/3 - lots of great chemistry between the main characters here. A cute and entertaining watch.

4/4 - last case/few eps felt rushed but excellent until then.

3/4 - maybe I just watched this at the right time in life, but it was so fun and I looked forward to it weekly.

2/3 - was OK, not much depth though.

2/4 - another difficult one to rate because it was one of my first Korean drama a long time ago, but I remember liking it.

3/4 - amazing lead cast, couple of rushed arcs, but forgivable, loved the show.

2/4 - I liked this mostly for Hong Kyung's character plot line more than anything.
