dramas i’ve watched in 2026

I’ve started watching A Shop for Killers when it came out, back in 2024 but I never got to finish it due to the kdrama slump I was in, even though I wanted to support it for Dongwook. But I started watching it again, completing it in a few sittings and man…it was the best decision I’ve made in a hot second. I’ve loved everything about this show, from the storyline and the way the plot unfolded gradually, to the storytelling and the acting. It genuinely had me forgetting that it’s a tv show I’m watching and not some irl events. 

I’m a preacher of ‘Lee Dongwook needs to do more action works’ religion and I stand by it! This man had me captivated, the star of the show even though he was, and at the same time wasn’t, rhe main focus. If I didn’t already love him before, I would’ve fallen for him through ASFK. Jeong Jinman, you are so loved!! 

I’ve firstly started watching this drama when it came out, back in 2023, because I’m a huge fan of both Changwook and Hyesun. I don’t remember why, but I stopped watching it after 5 or 6 episodes. Then I wanted to watch it again, but couldn’t really remember key points of the plot so I decided to start from the beginning. But then I’d drop it again cause I wasn’t in the right mental space to watch it. Did this for about three or four times and finally, I pushed through because I’ve watched it with my mom and loved every second of it. It was exactly what I needed as my start of the year dramas. Not only did I laugh a lot, I cried even more. One of my favorite slice of life dramas that I’ve watched.

I swear I’m not rating all dramas as a 10?? but CTLBT deserves it. It was beautiful, from cinematography to the plot to the acting, it really lacked nowhere. The plot line was so different from what I had expected from a romcom but I’m so glad it was the way it was. It was a beautiful watch from start to finish, even though I was annoyed at times at the leads — THAT WAS THE POINT. Their love story was supposed to be confusing, it’s in the title.

Raised the bar high for 2026 dramas, it’s genuinely top tier. Shin Hyesun, you did it again. That’s all I’m going to say about her performance, she just never disappoints.
Not everyone is going to get this drama, but it was genuinely so well made because even if there are any plot holes (which I’ve personally failed to find) they seem so intentional within the storyline that you can’t even call them plot holes per se.
