manga/light novel/anime live action movies

as a movie on it's own with no context of original story: 6.0-7.0

my rating because I did like the couple: 8

what I would give this if I didn't like the couple, since I'm not a fan of much of the other plot: 7-7.5

I have read the manga (till vol 4) which is adapted from a light novel, but after a few volumes I realised my dreams of a period drama romance wouldn't fully be realised, because the story went in an unexpected (and dare I say undesired) direction. but oh well. I've watched season 1 of the anime but dropped season 2 at ep 6 since I'm not interested in where the story is going honestly and I also don't get the appeal of anime anymore.
