Suggestions for Saeng

First 4 episodes are pretty perfect for a sweet BL full of yearning and smiles. The last two episodes don't fit and needlessly complicate what came before. They're short though, and weird enough my brain didn't accept them as part of the story, more like the author's fever dream :)

But the first 4 episodes are lovely.

Well-crafted unsettling suspense/mystery short episode series which makes good use of its format, especially in the first half. It's short too, so if you don't get on with it, not much time is wasted.

Not a romance, the main relationship is between grandma and grandson. Quirky fun but also touching.

Like a four hour lakorn with a lot of Big Emotions. And then a late reveal adds in a whole additional layer of meaning. "Literary" feels a bit pretentious for a television series but it's the best way I can think of to describe it, its story could easily be a literary novel.

Begins and ends as light, fan service comedy centered around developing friendships, found family, grief, the complications of parents, and facing your fears with the support of others. There's substance, frivolity, a touch of lakorn and a lot of warmth.

Needed something gentle to offset a lakorn, searched for Nice Male Lead and found this... charisma and kindness, good music, and a sweet, beautiful, touching story which ignores physical reality but gently encompasses big emotions.

A real life academic cheating scandal turned into an edge of your seat how is this going to end thriller. No romance.

You've seen this already but sometimes it's just the thing for an evening so I'll put it on your list as a reminder.

Another that you liked.

There's a raw vibrancy to this which really drew me in, the sort of thing which feels like it must draw on the director/writer's own youth. Took some time, if I'd known how to rate episodes when I saw it, it would been something like 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 from episode 4 or so =D 

The best I've seen so far for grounding mor lam in the youth culture of the region.

One of my very favourite films. There is a love story tucked away in here, but it's mostly about the found family of kids and teacher.
