  • Jang Ok Jung

    1. Jang Ok Jung

    Korean Drama - 2013, 24 episodes

    10

*Underrated 1/3 drama. This drama is in my top 5 fav dramas and the first time I've ever seen with the most talented in the younger generation of Korean actors- Yoo Ah In. Obviously he only got better with time, but his performance there is also so good, and Kim Tae Hee by now you know I love her dearly, and this drama made me become a fan of her. The story is based on a real woman who was the only queen who didn't come from noble family- she captivated the king with her mesmerizing beauty.

Continued straight from the point where the drama has ended. Didn't feel to me as special ep, more like just a continuity to the drama (better would've been called just ep 12).

It's so interesting to get back to dramas that you dropped years ago. How your whole thinking has changed because you matured, the characters you once loved, now you hate, and vice versa.
So I really dislike this time around the second leads. One only cared about herself while the other never cared about himself.
Unlike them, the main leads were round characters, who went through some process.
I was quite upset with Moon Goon Young at the beginning because I felt that her acting wasn't great, but as the drama proceeded and I guess the script became more interesting, she too showed some abilities. And the script is actually all that matters and makes my point on Lee Sang Yeon also clear since in Angel Eyes he was absolutely terrible, like a rookie, but here he was just great.
I recommend this drama to everyone who wants to know a bit more about pottery.

*First C-drama: So unlike popular Taiwanese dramas (Devil Beside You) that have been subbed to my country's language even before I was in middle school, Cdramas weren't subbed and I came across Viki (eng subs) in high school and gave a shot to a short comical Cdrama. It was a whole new experience to me and paved the way for many other dramas to come.
p.s thinking of this drama makes me feel sad again for Godfrey. Poor man, lost his life way too young.. RIP

Such a boring show. Second time trying to watch it but still didn't enjoy it. Not sure whether I should even continue to the second season.
I'm also pretty sad Kao and Thor had such a small role as they are considered leads too :(

  • Who Are You

    27. Who Are You

    Korean Drama - 2013, 16 episodes

    3.0

So the other day I chose Taecyeon as the worst actor of the year 2025, and you know what? Next to his past self, he's Robert De Niro. I'm on my drop out list cleaning spree and I thought what a coincidence, let's check if he indeed was as bad. No, he was so much worse! Totally amateur. I'm afraid to rewatch Dream High now, it will shatter everything for me, esp as Suzy back then also wasn't as good.
Also, to my surprise, Kim Jae Wook didn't give a good performance either. The best actors were the girls, and I'm quite upset for the 2FL who still today, more than a decade later, lands only 2FL roles. FL totally vanished, so maybe it's better to be somehow relevant?
The concept of the story was good, though very obvious who the villains were. but the writing screwed it, made it all messy and boring. Didn't like the love story, it was weird seeing her kiss new boyfriend next to her ex, and choosing and missing Taecyeon when their romance wasn't even built normally was confusing. Really unnecessary!

It's so interesting to see all those kids that now blossomed into successful young adults, whether it's Hyang Gi, Sae Ron or SF9's Chani.
The beautiful FL has acted so well and surely led this drama but it was difficult for me to be immersed in a story of elementary school kids since I'm quite an oldy already lol I've just finished my degree in university, and I started this drama way back when it was airing and I myself was still in high school (how fast time flies).
I did smile happily when the kids achieved their goals, and I was happy for her that even though she gave some tough love, she was appreciated but I wouldn't recommend this drama to any one.
